BUILDING a 1965 Honda Dream CA77 in 5 MINUTES - Motorcycle TIME LAPSE!

  • Watch a 5 minute time lapse of our vintage Honda build.
We started the channel after the tear down, so no video of of the tear-down, blasting, painting, etc. This started off as a barn find in Kentucky. It hadn't run in at least 15 years. The original color was white and it was cheaply spray-bombed yellow decades ago. The entire bike was stripped, rebuilt, and restored. Parts are increasingly difficult to source for these vintage Honda's, so things had to be made, imported from overseas, and reused when able.
Be sure to go back and watch all the episodes of this build!

A real beauty. And such a unique motorcycle. I have a 1966 dream but it is white

I think that's one reason why I like it so much, you just can't get anything else like it! I've had a lot of nice motorcycles, but when I sell them I always tell myself that there are plenty of other nice motorcycles. There's not much else like a Honda dream though!

I had one of these when I was 16! I am 70 now. It’s a butt ugly bike, but at 16 it was two wheels and a motor! Love what you did with this bike!

I'm about to buy one in excellent condition, are clutch plates, and cables hard to find? I'm sure things like brake shoes will be a pain

You have a great, cool and easy style, fine skills and talent! You know Mustie1 and James Condon on this channel? Compliments!

To be mentioned in the same comment as Mustie is a huge compliment! The other day I actually thought about how he does a great job of making it feel like you're just a friend in the shop with him. If I could even emulate a piece of that I would be happy. Thanks for the support!

On the chrome front suspension bar that ties the forks together and wraps around the back of the front fender: How in the Samuel Hell did you get the bottom bolts out of that arm? do they press straight out? or do they have to be spun by a phillips/allen head? Ty in advance for any help

If you're referring to the ones with the phillips bolt, and a castle nut on the other side, then you have to remove the castle nut first and then spin the bolt out with a size 3 JIS screwdriver.
Depending on how overly tight the last person fastened them, they could be very tough. In that case, the trick I use for stuck phillips-head screws/bolts is something like this:

Great job on the old Dream. I'm 61 and a 69 Dream was my first street bike when I was 15. By the way, what did you do with the old chrome off the front fender and what do you want for it?
