Now is this your final lap? I've only just touched your 1:26.7 lap time and then you destroy it. Previously, I was 3-4 seconds away, but since the arrival of my DD1 & v3 pedals, it's round 1.5s so I'd say validates the outlay! QQ - do use Motec i2 or any other telemetry analysis for building your setups?
Hahaha, I think so, unless I find some magic and take it to a lap in the 1:24’s, but I doubt that sincerely. It’s really good to see that the new gear is already having a big impact on your laptimes. I only use the telemetry that our timing page on the server provides, but mostly to see where I lose time to our top drivers. For the setup changes I mostly try to ‘feel’ which changes make it more drivable and to give more confidence in controlling the car.
@@SimRacingFun I wonder...How many times did you total the car whilst trying to take the right amount of kerb at T1? Between T8 & T9 is killing me - getting greedy with the outside kerb and then the rear left lets go. I've managed to roll the car a few times. Also, not sure about T22 into T23 - getting greedy and clipping the inside wall going head on into the wall... It will be interesting to see if they load it with tecpro barriers this weekend, otherwise there's potential for a serious incident!
@@Buzzard177 Oh boy, my favorite walls are definitely the ones at turn 9, turn 17 and turn 23. I've hit all of them with ridiculously high speeds and with a VR headset on, you can almost feel the impact 😉 * Turn 9 especially if you go to wide after turn 8 ... there is just no way to correct that anymore. *Turn 17 especially when I take a bit to much inside curb in that turn and then sort of jump towards the outside wall. *Turn 23 is the worst, especially for what you describe. Take Turn 22 a little too tightly ... hit the wall slightly there and then get catapulted into the wall at Turn 23 ... If that happens in the real race, it could indeed be really bad as the speeds are so high! Turn 1 & 2 are also quite tricky to take correctly. I'm still not as consistent there as I would like.
@@SimRacingFun Doing a nice outlap to get all the temps in the right window, only to screw it all up on the first corner of the hotlap...Back to pits! Getting the first 2 corners perfectly, lap delta up by 2 tenths, gain more time... Lap delta is so green that there are now sheep grazing on it... Then you miss your braking point on the last corner! I don't know which is worse, being down on a lap and pushing to make it back, or being so far up that your Grandma could finish the lap on pole - I think I panic more seeing green numbers!
Hahahaha, I had to laugh out loud for that one. It's so familiar to my experience. Just before I set that 1:24 lap that I just uploaded as well, I had an even better lap but then threw it all away in the last turn. That was just painful... seeing green all lap long and then a huge red bar from that last turn onwards. The only benefit of making the mistake in turn 1 & 2 is that I just carry on and do a second warm-up lap as I'm sure my energy will have recovered by the end of that lap.
Dankjewel! I run low temperatures on the server because the tyres heat up less quickly. This then allows me to run a lower tyre-pressure, which provides a bit more grip.
@@SimRacingFun Graag gedaan! I know you can set it sub 10°C with CM. Did some testing and noticed you can gain 0.5s to 1.0s with the low temps. I run my laps at the AC minimum of 10°C. Some Pro's even run at 26°C. For benchmark purposes maybe good to mention ambient temp in the description. Appels en peren...
Great lap mate! See you on Sharx.

Good point, I’ll add it to descriptions going forward. While I’m add it, I’ll just add the other environmental settings such as track grip and wind.
