It's still called a "Divining Rod" but it gets better as you upgrade it. The first one is useless and only serves to make the other two. When you right click on a block it'll tell you numbers known as EMC values. The rod will give you the top 3 values of a 3x3 area around the block you use it on and all the blocks in front of you for maybe 10 blocks.
Example:
The rod gives you the values 1, 32, and 8000. 8000 is diamond so within 10 blocks in front of you there are diamonds; and 32 is coal.

Toby! redstone is NOT for dye. It is for electricity (sort of). You can make red dye by putiing roses in the crafting, yellow with dandelions, smelt cactus for green, and Lapis is already blue. You can combine dyes in the crafting table, for example, Lapis Luzli and Rose red makes purple dye. Not to be a thumbs-up hog, But Thumb it up so toby can see!

I think Minecraft 1.2 was probably the most successful update because it took like 3 or 4 months until 1.3, so me thinks that 1.2 has been out for the longest. Not counting Alpha or Beta.

Toby you should use your equivalent exchange mod. Its what gave u the covalence dust. Its for repairing but the whole mod is kinda complicated but very rewarding
