  • This time on Five Minute Rides I'm riding what might just be Sydney's toughest trails at the Woronora mountain bike trails.

Dont be too discouraged! These are hard trails! Plus an enduro bike would help a fair bit!

Very hard. But I’m keen to head back soon for another try.

These are my local. I find it just requires confidence and good line choice. I won’t lie, the trails are hard. But it’s a lot of slow speed maneuvers, with the fast sections being only smaller rocks and flowy sections. So it’s not too difficult if you take your time. Therefore the dreadful bike-destroying high speed jank is nowhere to be found. But still I won’t lie, some parts of Woronora can be sketchy and scary as hell! So great effort, and I recommend giving them another go when you feel up to it.

Thanks ive been back twice now and finding myself noticeably improving each time. The main deterrent now I think is the gnarly rides back up the road. 😂

@@FiveMinuteRides That road is a killer! What’s worse is when you’ve finished your ride but you still need to get back up to Sutherland, the only way is up and it’s steep, long, and soul crushing

@@rachelpanth5527 so you find it better to go slow and take your time (thought that would cause stops from hitting tech at too
slow a speed) then go faster over all of it?

Nice vid mate, keep up the progress. I'm just wondering if you had to pay any duties or anything when your Canyon arrived in Aus. Cheers.

Have no idea unfortunately. My local tour guide wasn’t sure of the name so we just hit it. I’ll try to find out if I can, unless it’s a local secret...

Well done. I’m close by and ride it rarely until I got an ebike with 140 travel, now I really enjoy them.

Haha yeh I’ve hit that place a bunch of times now. It’s challenging. Not necessarily fun. But challenging 🤣

Those are janky af mate most riders would struggle on those.
Anytime you want to hit Appin up let me know. Mainly blue trails with a spattering of black, pretty much on one section.

I'd say the answer to the title question is, not even close to the hardest trails in Sydney. Garigal is where it's at ;)

Don’t know where that is but might have to take a look 👌
