Yes sir! This one took me a few pours but I grew (or maybe it evolved) to love it! Super fun to search for notes in this one. Great vid!

I agree; an excellent whiskey and so glad I bought it shortly after the review. Went back to my local store today to check out some other single malts, checked to see if they still carried the Yoichi - they do - however the price has gone up $100.00 usd over what I originally paid. Clerk said it was due to its new found popularity! Won't be rebuying this again - very good dram but not at this price point.

That's the case for a lot of whiskey these days. Shame.

My sentiments exactly Peter, although I would reach for the Miyagikyo first.
This Yoichi rivals some of the better moderately peated (15-25 ppm) single malts from Scotland. 🥃

I'm starting to be a peat lover. So that's why I'd reach for the Yoichi first, but I do like the Miyagikyo...it's refreshing

This is my fav whisky - a Yoichi10yr had a limited release this year. I live in Tokyo and only seen a couple of bottles, still never tried it.

I like this one as well. Still waiting for more Japanese whiskey to hit the market. I like what I've had so far.

What’s the price on those in Japan ?

Fantastic and information filled review buddy! I am yet to really dive too deep down the Japanese whisky journey but do have a soft spot for Nikka from the barrel, pure malt and the Hibiki Harmony. Keep them coming! Cheers!

Thanks Jeff! I've really enjoyed reviewing these Japanese whiskies. I have 1 more review before I move on to Rye whiskeys. Cheers!

Another great Japanese Whiskey review! I see this in a couple stores. If I'm ever in the mood for a light peated malt I'll give this a consideration.

Loving this info, keep it up. I didn’t know this one was peated..Don’t have too many Japanese whiskies but I tried The Peated from The Matsui, that controversial distillery and I liked it..Right now looking for Ichiro’s Malt The Peated.

Long time fan of the Yoichi 15 YO but I haven’t tried this one yet.

This one is the only Yoichi I've had. Age statements on Japanese whisky are hard to come by these days.

Not quite. I have one more review to do. My last one didn't hit its mark so I'm going to finish my Japanese whisky review on a low note. But it does not diminish the fact that I was enjoying all of the Japanese whiskeys I reviewed in this series.
