  • Disclaimer! I'm not promoting sex tourism. This is only an informative vlog so YOU understand what to expect without surprises 😯. This is right across the street from the Plaza De Mercado. The hotels on this video are about 3 blocks away.

    I love how you walk around and explain what is going on. Reminds us of Bald and Bankrupt. It's raw and you show us it all. The good and the bad.

      Guys I made two vlogs earlier this year about Lleras park and a bad area in downtown Medellín and got a lot of slack from some haters. I keep moving forward like a steam roller.

      You just show the worst part of the city, (like showing skid row in LA) Rionegro could easily be one of the safest places in Colombia. Nothing ever happened to you. Nothing would ever happened to anybody. Don't be silly.

    The name of the hotel over the street from Hotel El Turista is named Hotel Los Molinos. both hotel have lots of reviews at Google maps.

    • @TravelingEddie
      @TravelingEddie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Los Molina is one but there's another one directly across the street from El Turista and they are part of the same owner(s). I just don't recall the name.

      I just saw that the other hotel across from El Turista is called El Viajero. They are under the same management. Telephone number 531 3347

    Eddie !!!
    How goes it brother !
    I had Río Negro on our list of possible retirement cities until someone told me that if you live there you would need a car. We love NOT having a car. Your thoughts…need a car to live there ?
    Manizales is still on our list.
    We will be in Matagalpa for 2 more months, then off to Xela, Guatemala for 6-12 months.
    Hope you are well !

      Hey 👋🏻 there Linda and Scott all the way from India 🇮🇳 now. If you're living within the city limits or urban area of Rionegro, you don't need a car. That's a bunch of hog wash. There are cabs 🚕 and local small bus 🚐 and big buses moving all around Rionegro. I know because I lived in Rionegro for 3 years but in the countryside. That's where you really need to have a car because you're living in a finca (country house) way out there. Public transportation out there is scarce to none. Rionegro is a great place to live and you can go to nearby towns like La Ceja, El Retiro, El Carmen de Viboral, La Union and Marinilla on the weekend via bus. I highly recommend getting an apartment rental in San Antonio de Pereira or Barro Blanco neighborhoods in Rionegro. They're the best ones. I personally prefer San Antonio. Look for some vlogs I have made there on my channel.

      Thanks Eddie !
      We trust your opinion so we will put it back on our list. Seems like a nice city, and not far from Medellin when we want a big city weekend or need serious medical. I believe the temps are cooler than Medellin, which we love.
      Hope you are enjoying India !

      @@therehastobesomethingmoore Scott going down to Medellin by bus is a cinch! You can't go wrong and it's about an hour tops plus cheap. It's like $5000 ($1.25) per person one way. Take the one that takes you to Terminal del Sur and get off at Exposcio es Metro 🚇 Station so you can catch the metro to where you're going. As far as the medical part goes, you have excellent facilities at Clinica Soma Rionegro or Comfama Medical. If you don't feel good about them, then go to Clinica Medellin Poblado and there are plenty of medical towers in the area or to Ciudad Del Rio and there are more there. I have a great dentist 🦷 who's a friend. She's been doing my teeth for 11 years and I've known her for 20 years. She has tons of experience and her own practice. She speaks very little English though. I also have a student who's a dentist 🦷 and speaks much better English. If you need their contact information, just send me a message on Instagram at @travelingeddie1.

    I will be happy to pay 25.000 cop per night for a hotel.

    • @TravelingEddie
      @TravelingEddie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pail you'll definitely get that 25000 per night rate in Rionegro at El Turista hotel. Even a little cheaper across the street from Plaza De Mercado down the street from the Hookers area.

      @@TravelingEddie thanks Eddie. Not everyone likes too stay in expensive hotels. There are now a lot of budget travelers and backpackers traveling around. You can still travel cheap around the world.

      @@pauljones3557 That's what I somewhat did in India 🇮🇳 in 2019 and am gonna start doing at the end of the year. Next month I'm going to another country and to secure 🔐 a good WiFi connection I'm gonna rent out 4 or more weeks at each place I visit and get a lower rate. I do remote English language classes with my private students now as a result of the pandemic and has been a blessing in disguise because I can travel around the world 🌍🌏 and still make money💰 as a teacher. At the same time I can make cool and interesting vlogs about the places and countries I'm visiting. The goal ⚽🥅 now in addition to doing what I am passionate 😍🥰about a d love as a travel vlogger on TH-cam is to get both of my channels monetized 🤑 and increase those earnings to the point where I can simply just have my passion as my money earner as well.😎🙏🏻👍🏻🕉️💪🏻

      Paul I have a question for you as you seem to be well-versed in finding dirt cheap lodging. Do you know of any cheap hotels or hostels in Los Angeles California and I'd so how much do they go for per night?
