how do i deal with disc priests and frost mages as a ret ? we are playing resto druid and ret pally and i just feel so incredibly helpless... the moment they dont have shitgear or are just bad i feel completly helpless.. i have 0 killpressure on the priest and the mage does what he wants... if i go for the priest they just both dps down my healer... literally 0 idea what to do... same with disc rogues or smth... i just cant pressure the priest enough to stop the enemy team from just killing me or my healer.
The situation you're detailing is one of the hardest ones a ret paladin can face - mages are extremely difficult for rets to connect to if the mage is focusing on kiting and the disc can easily get away with peels from the mage. If you want to have a chance in that match up, you need a more offensive healer (either a resto shaman or a disc priest), but even then it won't be easy.

wow.curseforge.com/projects/hekili - but we wouldn't recommend using it. Mystic was just testing out the optimal PvE rotation, however you'll need to weave in non-optimal PvE damage globals, especially when lining up burst.
Yeah, it's the Expurgation trait which recently got buffed. We're expecting it to get nerfed soon but when that happens it's likely that it will be as viable as the wings one and will just promote more consistent damage over the huge burst windows that the wings trait provides.
For the most part, yes. While this will provide you with the best traits for increasing 'PvE' damage, it may not always translate into PvP but it's definitely a good place to start.
Both are viable options and offer similar PvE dps gains. However Avenger's Might will provide the most consistent increase to your burst with wings, whereas Expurgation will simply provide more overall sustained damage and may also contribute to kill attempts if you crit at the right time.
May I ask (WW Monk here being depressed - thinking about rerolling back to Ret) if this guide can still be used as a source for everything? They changed and nerfed a lot of stuff. A quick answer would help me out :)

You could use like 14 of Haste then 40+ mastery and use the 2 azerite traits that increase the Haste There is one to get Haste when using holy power and stacks like 20 times and other that using habilities give you mastery and with those 2 you can get up to 20 Haste all the time.
It's not an addon. Create a folder called "Fonts" in your WoW directory and copy the file of the font you want to use. You'll need 4 copies of that file renamed to "ARIALN", "FRIZQT__", "MORPHEUS" and "skurri", all without the quotations.
It's good in PvE but Blade of Wrath is better for the reasons covered in this guide. Mystic is also using Blade of Wrath in PvP and only has Hammer of Wrath selected for PvE content.

The ret who put together this video (Mystic) uses his mouse button 4/5 for interrupting his target and focus.
