This weekend we had the chance to stay in the Premier Inn in Skegness. A new hotel that is very impressive, unfortunately the price is quite high however, Skegness is a great place and well worth a visit. We will be going back

Excellent review as always. Stayed in Skegness last month and the Premier inn was fully booked so I was wondering what it was like inside. Looks a lovely hotel but I agree that's quite an expensive rate.

Interesting, I would have said the opposite. Every premier inn I've been in has had a bath. Never encountered shower-only

Hi Ruthie and hope you are keeping well. I love prem inns and will always try to stay in them but this one was a touch expensive but it is new and I guess there are a lot wanting to stay in it. Nice place and Skegness is really worth a visit although I would go out of season. May be cooler but less busy.
The Secret Hotel Inspector yes same! I love them! The WiFi is great I was using premium inn to Dover because I was going on holiday with a ferry. Very cheap lovely hotels lovely rooms and great shops!

I live in skegness and I like breakfast there.
Checking in is from 2pm not 12pm.
I've stayed at many Premier Inns and never had a problem with streaming videos through the 'standard wifi' in the hotels.
Thanks for your comment and for watching the video, I do appreciate it. I know when I arrived that is what the lady on reception said, however I do agree it is early and other hotels are normally around 2 to 3 o'clock. it could be the lady mistook the time, however they were excellent hosts and love the hotel. Would love to stay again when we can but I am sure it will be a very busy one in the future.
They'll allow earlier check ins providing there are rooms available otherwise the official check in is from 2pm check in.
No baths.only time ive seen no bath is when offered a disabled accessible,we turned late.all have had a bottle opener ones I've been in.
Unfortunately, The WiFi is always terrible at premier inns. Although you can’t beat the prices of their rooms :)
Went to premier Inn in Hayle a few days ago .. to find out a room would cost me £182 a night . I needed to stay for 3 nights. I was only expecting it to cost around £30 a night .. a total rip off. I ended up sleeping in my car on the car park
youve got to book in advance to get good rates
Going in the family room in a few weeks how was u trying to watch sky I have unlimited data on my phone so I can try hot-spot it
I was watching in my laptop via WiFi. The WiFi was good so you could use that and save your data. Although with unlimited data I suppose it doesn’t matter

I’ve never paid to park in Skegness in my life. Knowing the area and living quite locally their is many places to park free but I’m not going to advertise them.

It’s funny really there was great anger among residents when premier inn wanted to build their but East Lindsay District Council gave the residents time to come up with a alternate and we all came up with nothing. The main anger was from the owners of the grosvenor hotel and a couple of others on the stretch as they were going to lose their sea view, but personally I thought it was a great idea to have premier inn in the town because it would bring more visitors to the town which lets face it is our only economy but this year it has been needed more than ever after the effects of covid. And let’s face it their is nowhere else it could have gone in the town to make it close enough to everything without upsetting someone. People were worried about the trade to the guest houses but to be honest they have their regulars and spontaneous travellers didn’t have many options.
Dean Fox I can see why they would complain but in our case we wouldn’t have gone to Skegness and have been back twice more and will be coming again for sure. We are not a b&b family but prefer hotels and know what we get from chains like this. We would try Bridlington or Scarborough or Whitby but they don’t offer these chain hotels so we found Skegness and loved it. I am sure there are more families like us. Our other favourite thing is to sit in one of the arcade cafes and have an ice cream and coffee and watch the world go by on the front. Always a must a few times on each trip
