So thankful for this video! I recently bought a resell pair and I was really sceptic whether it was fake or not since the price was fairly low compared to other offers. Turns out it's real and I didn't get ripped off 😅
But at the end of the day you're right, it's just mass produced shoes meant to be worn!

I struggled with the left foot vs right foot at first, but then I saw the toebox and knew immediately.
I will say, GX has impressed me so far with their attention to detail and it seems like their SB4's are very close. Would love to see you do a video of one of their pairs.

I’m glad I found your channel you make a lot of sense but In my experience I’m an x heroine junkie and I used for about 15 years and it took me a long time to find a hobby that kind of gave me the same high or satisfaction cause I’ve always been into sneakers my whole life but you are totally right about us paying insane amounts of money just for the right to buy a shoe for 210$ or more we are all totally getting played and you know who wins at the end is the company’s that sell them and also let resellers use bots to win all the shoes so then we have to go out and spend hundreds or in my case even thousands on one shoe it really sucks thanks for the video

Concerning the insole, I've observed most top tier have wrong insole, most of my top tier SB Dunks have a softer air unit than retails insole and the foam quality isn't the same. Do you have an explanation about this? Can the insole really be a techy thing to reproduce?
got it right but at first look thought right is the retail one. The back tags length is the biggest giveaway on the replay once you know it, from that distance a very good budget version for sure

Easiest way to tell retail from the others is the toe strap. The grey suede comes higher up onto the toe box and has a lower degree slant to it. At the end of the day, no one’s going to come up to you and say anything lol

@@anubislord4513 retail compared to his options. Yes there is a difference you can see it. The cage is different, ankle collar is different, slope of the toe box is different. There are visible differences but not anything major enough to really care unless you pay close attention.

Oh, and, I agree with the resale market. It makes NO sense as to why these are $700 or more, but yet, the Black Cement Reimagined and Military Blue 4s are sitting near MSRP. The energy towards these shoes makes no sense.

Where did you end up buying the resell pair from? The resell shops in HK are hit or miss. Also dont trust buying from stockX all the way to china.

@@snide. it did for sure brother. I didn't know they were from Hong Kong until after I placed the order. Couldn't find a size 12 anywhere for cheaper than $600 USD. Got myself a pair from them for $500 out the door so I was very pleased with that. I'm almost certain they will be a $1000 shoes eventually
@@mikemorris9902 I see a lot of concern online from people whose kicks came from Hong Kong. HK is MUCH stricter than the mainland. You don’t get reps sold there publicly. No where near as accessible as across the border. Not saying it doesn’t happen, but it’s no different from buying a pair from Australia or Europe. It also makes sense that big sizes are more available in Asia - I often see the smaller ones snapped up first.

A lot of my heat back in the day came from trusted resellers because I lived in a area that didn’t get the limited drops so that was my only way to get the heat that I really wanted.
