whilst late 80s was his absolute peak in terms of power and sweetness combined. this was still his very best concert in long time, so much energy. light years ahead of any of the boring post 2003 stuff
This was one of sheya mendlowitz a"h great productions. Of course who can forget the hasc concerts he produced. And yisroel lamm with the orchestra it just was such a good match.
It was an exclusive celebration of 25 years of MBD , not Jewish music in general .I remember well this being advertised on a gigantic billboard in Woodburn the summer before. After the video was produced we were all pleasantly shocked at how well he performed since this followed the so-so Lulei album.

de ja vu. yes! live he was still full of energy, (lots of yeshiva kids in the crowd encouraging him on, and sneaky extra l` chaims didnt do any harm )
