I was at Akron for a band trip and I was so excited to see all of the cool bands but then it started to rain, we had to leave a little early because it was getting late and we didn’t get to see most of the shows, however we did get to watch pacific crest’s welcome to the void (my favorite) and Carolina crown which was cool.
Imagine that after years of practising, praying, and dreaming to one day be on a DCI corps and you finally get to wear a cool uniform... you end up with the BlueCoats 2022...
you realize people join drumcorps for other reasons than a cool uniform right? and I've talked to a lot of bluecoats personally, not one of them complained about the unis. they all loved it and enjoyed preforming the show, you know. what drumcorps should be about!
my boy when I got into drumcorps unis was the LAST thing I was thinking about. I don't think you ever were in drumcorps and if you were you got your expectations way off
@@GabeT04 my boy, you can argue all you want, but if you see a corps like Devils 1989-era walking at you, or the spendex festival of current days, there is a difference. No matter how they will sell it to you. There is a difference. Sure, different eras, and the boys and girls all enjoy it in boths eras. But the theater approach of uniforms these days doesnt add charisma to any group or individual.
It doesnt belong, i agree, but i think Bluecoats did a magnificent job of tying it into the music, creating a balance where brass didnt overpower and neither did the keytar. I think it was perfect for this show, where its like a dream, where its random anything could happen, and theres just a keytar there, lol. but you know.
I love it! Even Roger down front can't help but watch the keytar solo. That dude killed it every time.

Almost a great show. The keytar killed it. It has no place in a drum corps show. No disrespect to the kid playing it. It just doesn't belong.
