I missed seeing them back in the day for various reasons. Took my 2 daughters, 20 and 11 years old to this concert. It was my 11 year old's first concert. It's her favorite band and when he announced that they were playing her favorite of their songs (The World is Ugly) for the first time live, I thought she was just gonna lose it lol.
I have a say, of all the concerts I have been to in my 52 years, this was my FAVORITE!
i never voluntarily search for/watch concerts on youtube and i've also never been to one, but mcr is an exception. their songs are like free therapy.. can never get sick of listening to them. i wish i can see them someday

To add, 28:23 when Gee said “I do believe some of you have been waiting a very long time for this show.” It became a core memory. I’ve been a fan since I was 7 years old and they were on tour for TBP at the time and my dad was going to take me to a show except my mom said no. I was 23 at this show. I did indeed wait a VERY long time for this 😂
That final solo at the end was the most Rock and Role thing I've seen in the last decade. Ray, keeping that torch lit!

If they can play The Foundations Of Decay in E standard tuning then they can play any song in E standard tuning live. But why My Chemical romance plays every single song half step down?
Ive wondered as well but i believe it is to accommodate Gerard's voice, and then uses the noise machine. They can play and perform at that tuning like Foundations, but I'm assuming maybe its not sustainable or able to be sustainable consistently throughout the entire show, so instead of risk of blowing out halfway through they created a happy medium where Gee can still do all his belting and wailing but could also accommodate for when he's unable to (in which then I think he utilizes the mixer) I dont think its so much that he CANT hit all of it, but voice hygiene is important to them than it used to be, and then theyre really fond of that mixer machine because of the extra effect it has regardless of what he inputs. Probably a case of, just because you can doesnt mean you should, and sustainability

@@Vampboi666 I've been around MCR since late 2004, you maybe too idk lol but its a stark difference of technology from then to now, they are also not 25 anymore. It has bothered a lot of people that they play everything at least a step down and even tho they've never come out and spoke on it at length (that im aware of) Gerard has mentioned a few times that he had to do vocals differently and worked with different technicians and teachers to be able to perform again. I think it was for sake of being able to play the entire show front to back, for almost 2 years, and remain consistent throughout the show. Kinda like making it all uniform... They've always cranked it up to 10 playing live and I know they used to always play the balancing game between being loud and being true to sound so maybe that's also a factor
