The Pyke top was the difference, very creative and original pro pick. Also, after a disappointing worlds finals, Caps was great this series and this final game; he was one step ahead of faker the whole match

Ikr, like SKT had a chance to, they were down 5k, it was extremely lucky for them to keep winning team fights with that much gold difference. They got Ace, and the chance they got the baron is easily more than 75%, but hey, what do SKT know, they are just some random World Champion while we are watching youtube right?
It's a terrible call and I will teach you why: even if SKT takes out Baron it leaves them in a bad position, they will be weakened and they will be grouped up, which is exactly where G2 (who are coming back fresh from fountain) wants them. Sure, if they go for Baron and actually get away with it that looks good. But that's exactly the kind of desperate, gambling move that throws games. I don't care if you're bronze or pro, because this applies at every level: learn to keep an advantage and make the most of it, not gamble it away. If you don't know your limitations, then your enemy will be the one that shows them to you.

Other thing they have to deal with 5k gold difference, unonline ADC compare to great team fight comp of G2. You assumed they were weaken after Baron, now if they backed away, G2 said lets fight and force team fight at their base 5v5, with that gold difference they lost horribly, they only won last two team fights becausr G2's movement were weird (after clean 4 told Jankos to solo Infernal while they put no pressure whatsoever. Force team fight at the river while Caps was so far and has no chance to get there in time). Get it now? They are in losing position, they were desperate, they were pressured this is last game, they won team fight, they go for Baron, what is so weird with that?

Again, even if they're guaranteed to get Baron, which they weren't, specially not how they played it, you also have to consider their position after Baron falls. Like you said, they're 5k behind, their lanes are getting pushed in, they've taken out only 1 turret. This is not the time to gamble Baron, even a 75% chance Baron. 5k behind after you just won an extended fight 4 to 2 might be desperate, but not desperate enough. Go for a turret instead, push back the waves, establish vision, close the gold gap and meet G2 again in a better position. No, it's not guaranteed that they will win this way of course, it's an uphill battle, but it's still better than "let's rush Baron, which we do NOT know for sure that we'll come out alive from it, if we even get it in the first place". I understand that it looks good immediately after they get 4 kills, usually too good not to go for it. It's a tough call not to make it. I know you know that you don't have to be a pro player to make that call... 9 out of 10 teams will at least think about Baron, and there's probably something wrong with you if you don't. But sooner rather than later they have to realize that they're playing themselves into a trap. A trap which I think is closer to 100% than 75% that they will not survive. That's discipline. Very underrated in League of Legends.
TL has an insane roster lol.... Impact top, World Champ, Xmithie JG... Incarnation Mid, Doublelift ADC (One of the best), and CoreJJ supp, World Champ too.
So is just syndra viable to play in bot. Or what was it that skt had that they needed two mages. I'm a syndra main and this makes me want to just go bot with her now
Team Resurrection - NGME-PROXIMUM lucky? They won 3-1 and honestly controlled majority of the time throughout all 4 games. People are so salty that NA are prospering
Although I am sad that SKT lost, G2 played really well and showed a new way to play the game. I'm happy to see SKT improve so much throughout MSI, but it just wasn't enough and they couldn't keep up with the competition. In LCK there was nothing like this. What this tells us is all the Korean teams must step up and reevaluate their views on the gameplay and make some changes heading into the summer split if they want a better showing at worlds. Although at different points of this series, different players get caught out or make mistakes, I think it is not right to call anyone trash. It's Clid and Teddy's first international experience. Similarly, Khan and Faker had not played international games in a year. I feel that the one mistake they made outweighed the ten things they did right, and it's just not fair. Despite some criticisms thrown towards all of them at different points of the games, I think that the SKT team will take this experience back with them to the LCK and hopefully, we will make it just in time for worlds. Congrats to G2 for the win.
Its not often we got a NA vs EU rivalry in international tournament.moreover, on international finals.Its very fun to see this rivalry fight for each other's region dominance but at the same time i as SKT fan feel sad for their loss when Faker himself said he want to bring back LCK Glory to the eyes of the world
Great to see western teams in the finals, no doubt they growed a lot. But that end was kind of disappointing, specially coming from SKT. I cant imagine the old SKT losing a game like this, seems like they had a good chance to come back, but messed really bad by overcommiting with no summs/ults.
Dont mean to crucify Teddy, he´s a good player, but on top of getting caught with no summs on the baron pit, he also made a very questionable tp into a 1 hp tower in the previous match
or they could just end baron and then start the fight. See @34:18 reksai was leaving the base and baron has 3k HP. But a fight with galio + lissandra in the baron pit is terrible for the enemy team, so... i guess the best option was to reset xD
@@agustinberriel2145 yeah just generally so disappointed with the bot lane, they underperformed so much and you could say teddy lost the last two games thru his decision making. It was really weird to see such a (usually) calm team panic but I still have high hopes for them in worlds
@@OoToxiToxioO because everyone KNOWS deep down that they're inherently the best in the world. They slip up and it costs them games every now and them but it's a known fact that if you take all of SKT history vs any other team, they're the best. And people just want them to prove it. They took a few L's and it was humbling. But now people want them to rise back up and put everyone back in their place. Unfortunately one mistake is all it takes.

As a Danish person its win-win whoever wins MSI. Jensen = Danish, so is Wunder and Caps. Maybe G2 is my favourite since they are the LEC team. But you still gotta love doublelift though.

Clid did amazing but Teddy underperformed the hole Tournament same with Mata i just remember Day 1 where they died 2v2 and gave firstblood to an Autofilled ADC like Perkz.
G2 getting the just reward for their bold & creative gameplay during the group stage. The Semifinals they played pretty much playbook, and maybe SKT were constantly expecting something really crazy, which never came. Really hyped for the Grand Finals with two underdog teams.
1st Time Caps on Morgana in Proffesional play, one of the 1st Times that Perkz goes on Draven in Proffesional play then we get an Pyke Top and Syndra Bot Game, 1st Gnar of the Tournament, Sona/Taric Botlane yeah nothing special happend at all, what are you even talking. G2 was btw never the Underdog they were on the Top 3 of the Tournament right from the beginning considered 2nd best Team after Day 1/2/3 they just inted on the last Groups Day. The Experts had more G2 as a winner then SKT aswell thats not an Underdog.

clid has no flash or cleanse. the baron call was their suicide call. they could've have just reset or push lanes to extend their vision lines. instead they forced the baron with less than 40% hp on tank, no mountain drakes and no high dps champ. that was a stupid play.
it looked like suicide but skt knew its now or never .. g2 comp was stronger and stronger and with full items skt had no chance in tf ... good call but bad execute
This is the first time a western team is going to win MSI or Worlds(that involved all major regions). I honestly don't even care who wins. As a long time fan i can finally say the gap has been closed.

Alex Jones TL just obliterated the champions and the record breaking MSI group stage team. G2 took 5 games to beat SKT. Not sure how you can say G2 LOOKS better at the moment

Those people said the Baron call was terrible, but you are right, G2 made the worst mistake in that Infernal. They killed 4 but turn to nothing, no mid turret while clearly the minion is pushing, no dragon for unknown reason, seems like they wanted to prolong the game like guys in Silver.
Tbf this looked like a proper semi finals at msi, in comparison to that matchup between TL and IG. Sad that the Dl faker finals won't happen but excited for the long awaited NA vs EU. Tbf, historically NA kicked Europes butt in wars tho.

the last baron fight... dont know how to say... SKT had to try, that might be their only chance, Wander, Caps and Perkz were able to melt Teddy and Faker at once in TF. However only AD, AP and SUP was very hard to rush Baron at mid game esp they were little bit behind... They might try to rush the mid tower down and kill Perkz and wait for everyone to reborn. But judgement at that moment was not easy as say...
的片子好笑加色情 SKT was playing very safe this game before that Baron. They had a chance to make a risky-ish play such as at 21:09 and 21:37 but didn't because they respect the Pyke. Why did they wait for Baron to start making risky plays that could throw the game away, especially when they don't have a single mountain drake or a fast Baron killing team.
i'm tired of those newbies calling this a bad call...it wasn't actually bad call, it was very close and G2 played it well and quickly, SKT didn't expect it
Andrew Black 4/5 SKT members didn't have their ultimates (all of which are more impactful than a LeBlanc ult) while Perkz and Caps still have theirs. Plus, despite their numbers advantage, they are fighting a Syndra and Lissandra at the Baron area. It's a very risky play that could cause SKT to the game if they lose the teamfight (which is a possibility due to their missing key ultimates while Lissandra and Syndra are still good to go). Also, their team doesn’t take down Baron fast and have no mountain drakes, giving time for Jankos to catchup. Many teams have stopped Baron for less. Even though their Baron call has a good chance of succeeding, it doesn't guarantee that they win the game whereas if they lose the teamfight and Baron, they'll most likely lose the game.
That was an absolutely terrible baron play from skt. And you know what? I think the reason that went so badly was on mata. The champion taking damage from baron does half damage to it, and lb was low so varus was forced to tank it. If mata had just tanked the baron and let lb and varus take it down i think they would have done it quickly enough to get away. Having him dance around the pit and fail the blast cone really screwed them.
yeap he screw it with the blast cone, i had the same thinking, why the fuck did he went around the whole baron, just for the honey fruit and a bit of health??? if he had used the blast cone the correct way, varus would of have done baron just in time.

This proves it once and for all. It has been painfully obvious that Rek'sai is just straight up a counter pick to Jarvan IV. Rek'sai is just too good early with Hail of Blades for J4 to ever fight her, not to mention she can get around his entire kit and assist anyone he targets with his ultimate. People need to stop blind picking J4 with Rek'sai not banned. Its just a free match up at this point. This has been demonstrated in multiple finals of multiple major regions over the couple months. Just play Skarner.
So I don't mean to sound like a fanboy or that I'm bashing or anything of the sorts, but why does it seem like SKT tends to literally throw games for no reason? Ineffective team comps that they continue to stick with knowing they'll get shut down, uncoordinated gameplay, trying to hold a team fight and baron at the same time when it's obviously the wrong play to make, not to mention Faker, as godly as he might be, playing way too aggressive and haphazardly, and the rest of the team a good 70% or more of their games rely way too heavily on Faker to make plays he oftentimes should never make. Plus, with his knowledge of the game and champion pool, does it seem like he limits/restricts himself to anyone else? Some games he could go with that really aggressive pick he knows could make a winning comp (this applies to the other members as well, but I've noticed it more consistently in faker and honestly current and past junglers as well), but instead goes with something safe like Karma or something that hasn't gone very well for him in recent times and doesn't hold up in the long run. Now yeah, I know counters and whatnot come into consideration at that moment, but sometimes personally I look at it and the champion picks to me just make me question. Then if he does grab a "safe" pick, the rest of the team falls apart because to me it seems more prevalent in the last couple years that if Faker isn't making plays, the rest of the team doesn't know what to do. The level of gameplay almost looks mediocre and completely uncoordinated at the point and then they just collapse. I might just be thinking too much into it, but, honestly, I just have to say: WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE THEY DOING??? Sorry, rambling rant over.
SubBot#99843999 they struggle against aggressive early game comps and roaming lanes (top roam). If they had a traditional, ranged AP mage mid maybe they win but the syndra bot basically nullifies LeBlancs ability to roam since Syndra can shove all game and get river and bot priority, and LB can't roam top into a Pyke since he is roaming all game himself. So a LB proves to be a less than ideal mid into the G2 comp; Surprised they picked LeBlanc, I had a hunch they lost the game at draft and that hunch proved correct in the end
I love when SKT loses because all their fans from NA or EU get super salty. It's deserved when they lose because unless you're a Korean you're literally just a bandwagon fan looking for some trophies to hug

TLs veterans vs G2s draft potential. It will be interesting that’s for sure. So far TL is 100% WR with a lead at 15 mins and their objective setup is imsane. G2 have solo lane kings and an unpredictable botlane with excellent split pushing.

I'm so happy they played 5 times all games were awesome but the Syndra pick was the best draft choice imo perkz just isn't msi semifinal level on adcs he should do more ap carry bot champs.
SKT should have banned pyke. That champ wrecked them hard both times, and the worst thing is it can go into 4 different positions because every player on that team practices it.
msi has no impact on who qualify for worlds. skt won spring which means they have 90 points. if they win summer they qualify, if they go 2nd in summer they qualify as 2nd seed by points, and if not they play gauntlet with the remaining 5 teams to get 3rd seed.
G2 on their game > LT on their game > IG > SKT >>> G2's average or off their game >> TL average or off their game. IG/SKT are too consistent to have to depend on being on or off their game.
SKT threw game 5 so hard at the end. The G2 comp was falling off and losing fights and then Skt prob had the worst baron of any Korean team in history.
that baron call was so bad, even bronze players won't go for that, go spend your gold after getting a shut down, invest in some qss and force a team fight around baron and win it, take baron, take towers, spend gold and finish the game, this is the right call.

They slip up and it costs them games every now and them but it's a known fact that if you take all of SKT history vs any other team, they're the best. And people just want them to prove it. They took a few L's and it was humbling. But now people want them to rise back up and put everyone back in their place. Unfortunately one mistake is all it takes.

Clid did amazing but Teddy underperformed the hole Tournament same with Mata i just remember Day 1 where they died 2v2 and gave firstblood to an Autofilled ADC like Perkz.

G2 was btw never the Underdog they were on the Top 3 of the Tournament right from the beginning considered 2nd best Team after Day 1/2/3 they just inted on the last Groups Day. The Experts had more G2 as a winner then SKT aswell thats not an Underdog.

clid has no flash or cleanse. the baron call was their suicide call. they could've have just reset or push lanes to extend their vision lines. instead they forced the baron with less than 40% hp on tank, no mountain drakes and no high dps champ. that was a stupid play.

Andrew Black 4/5 SKT members didn't have their ultimates (all of which are more impactful than a LeBlanc ult) while Perkz and Caps still have theirs. Plus, despite their numbers advantage, they are fighting a Syndra and Lissandra at the Baron area. It's a very risky play that could cause SKT to the game if they lose the teamfight (which is a possibility due to their missing key ultimates while Lissandra and Syndra are still good to go). Also, their team doesn’t take down Baron fast and have no mountain drakes, giving time for Jankos to catchup. Many teams have stopped Baron for less.
Even though their Baron call has a good chance of succeeding, it doesn't guarantee that they win the game whereas if they lose the teamfight and Baron, they'll most likely lose the game.

That was an absolutely terrible baron play from skt. And you know what? I think the reason that went so badly was on mata. The champion taking damage from baron does half damage to it, and lb was low so varus was forced to tank it. If mata had just tanked the baron and let lb and varus take it down i think they would have done it quickly enough to get away. Having him dance around the pit and fail the blast cone really screwed them.
yeap he screw it with the blast cone, i had the same thinking, why the fuck did he went around the whole baron, just for the honey fruit and a bit of health??? if he had used the blast cone the correct way, varus would of have done baron just in time.

This proves it once and for all. It has been painfully obvious that Rek'sai is just straight up a counter pick to Jarvan IV. Rek'sai is just too good early with Hail of Blades for J4 to ever fight her, not to mention she can get around his entire kit and assist anyone he targets with his ultimate. People need to stop blind picking J4 with Rek'sai not banned. Its just a free match up at this point. This has been demonstrated in multiple finals of multiple major regions over the couple months. Just play Skarner.
So I don't mean to sound like a fanboy or that I'm bashing or anything of the sorts, but why does it seem like SKT tends to literally throw games for no reason? Ineffective team comps that they continue to stick with knowing they'll get shut down, uncoordinated gameplay, trying to hold a team fight and baron at the same time when it's obviously the wrong play to make, not to mention Faker, as godly as he might be, playing way too aggressive and haphazardly, and the rest of the team a good 70% or more of their games rely way too heavily on Faker to make plays he oftentimes should never make. Plus, with his knowledge of the game and champion pool, does it seem like he limits/restricts himself to anyone else? Some games he could go with that really aggressive pick he knows could make a winning comp (this applies to the other members as well, but I've noticed it more consistently in faker and honestly current and past junglers as well), but instead goes with something safe like Karma or something that hasn't gone very well for him in recent times and doesn't hold up in the long run. Now yeah, I know counters and whatnot come into consideration at that moment, but sometimes personally I look at it and the champion picks to me just make me question. Then if he does grab a "safe" pick, the rest of the team falls apart because to me it seems more prevalent in the last couple years that if Faker isn't making plays, the rest of the team doesn't know what to do. The level of gameplay almost looks mediocre and completely uncoordinated at the point and then they just collapse. I might just be thinking too much into it, but, honestly, I just have to say: WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE THEY DOING???

SubBot#99843999 they struggle against aggressive early game comps and roaming lanes (top roam). If they had a traditional, ranged AP mage mid maybe they win but the syndra bot basically nullifies LeBlancs ability to roam since Syndra can shove all game and get river and bot priority, and LB can't roam top into a Pyke since he is roaming all game himself. So a LB proves to be a less than ideal mid into the G2 comp; Surprised they picked LeBlanc, I had a hunch they lost the game at draft and that hunch proved correct in the end

G2 does a lot of things well, but...after watching both the semis, I question whether G2 can beat TL. I mean, TL looks just about unstoppable.
TLs veterans vs G2s draft potential. It will be interesting that’s for sure. So far TL is 100% WR with a lead at 15 mins and their objective setup is imsane. G2 have solo lane kings and an unpredictable botlane with excellent split pushing.

msi has no impact on who qualify for worlds. skt won spring which means they have 90 points. if they win summer they qualify, if they go 2nd in summer they qualify as 2nd seed by points, and if not they play gauntlet with the remaining 5 teams to get 3rd seed.

SKT threw game 5 so hard at the end. The G2 comp was falling off and losing fights and then Skt prob had the worst baron of any Korean team in history.
