      Honestly I never count hits that are grounders down the left or right field lines as pitcher mistakes. Those are lucky hits. And Duvall misplayed Cabrera's outfield knock - he should have caught that. Our pitcher was pulled after 1.2 innings because he was mentally done rather than having pitched poorly, is my estimation.

      @@jakerittlinger440 First of all "grounders down the left or right field lines" that are hit hard enough to get past the infielders are not "lucky". Secondly, "lucky hits also impact one's era"....duh! It'a all relative, and it's the same for every pitcher, that's why the term ERA has the word "average" in it. Finally, respect for whom? I'm not disrespecting anyone. Just telling it like it is. It's not even Erlin's fault. The Braves knew who he was when they picked him up off of waivers when nobody else wanted him, and should not have expected anything different.

      This is what I've been waiting on for years. I don't need a play by play announcer when I'm looking at the game and can see what's going on. Give me some guys who are just watching the game like I am, but because they know the game they can explain what's going on without having to worry about getting out of the play by play guy's way.

    These Braves are Hungry!!!! They know it's coming down to the end and there starting pitching isnt there ( Let's hope that changes real soon!) but yet there winning these games with there bat! Whatever transpires in the playoffs, they're having another great season!!! Love this team!!!!

    Why on earth would you even pitch to Nats killer Freddie Freeman with the tying run on base? The dude is a clutch beast who kills righties. I'd rather us take our chances against Ozuna and get the righty-righty matchup.Or at the very least, bring in the lefty Doolittle (Who had been warming up by the way) to face him. I love Davey, but man can he make some boneheaded decisions at times.

      @Fidol Maybe, I'd still rather not face Freeman in this situation. Will Harris has given up plenty of homers to lefties this season, it was a bad matchup all the way around. You could also argue that Sean Doolittle should've been in there pitching against Freeman at the very least, which is what I'm more frustrated about actually.

    I always thought of this as the pitching solution for the braves - do what the padres did last year!! Just use 6 bullpen or different starting pitchers per game! See, this works! And yeah offense obvious carries too but this is great

      There needs to be more of this instead of the formal broadcast booth. Listening to them call the game was as fun as the game itself. It's like the one time the Inside the nba guys called a game from courtside. There needs to be more of that too.

    At the Top of the 4th Inning, Freddie Freeman #5 (1B) smokes up a 2-Run Home Run Jacks and at the Top of the 5th Inning, Ronald Acuna Jr. #13 (RF) belted a 2-Run Home Run Shot and at the Top of the 7th Inning, Freddie Freeman #5 (1B) once again... smokes up a 2-Run Home Run Jacks once again to tied the game and at the Top of the 8th Inning, Dansby Swanson #7 (SS) belted a Tiebreaking go-ahead Solo Home Run Shot to make the Braves win in a 7-6 winning game victory over the Washington Nationals!!!!! ⚾

      This is better than a broadcast booth. You don't need an announcer who's describing what's happening when you can see it happen. You need commentators to explain why it's happening and how it happened. This game also had live look ins at other games taking place. It was basically watching MLB Tonight, which is my favorite show, so I'm hoping they call more games before the season is over.

      The free flowing commentary is a welcome change from play by play announcers who sound like news anchors and commentators who have to talk really fast so the play by play guy can tell us what we can clearly see with our own eyes.

      The best thing MLB network did was give the MLB Tonight team a chance to call a game. It kept me engaged for 9 innings when any other time I'd just be checking in to see what the score is.

      They're better than the formulaic play by play - commentator duo that is outdated in an era where people don't listen to games on the radio anymore. They're having fun and they get more time to analyze the game action than a booth analyst would because the booth analyst has to shut up so that the play by play guy can tell us what we can plainly see with our eyes.
