NoMoneyNoLife NoMoneyNoLife hi man, i am lithuanian too, and if this converstation is on a english comment with your comment english. So i'll write english too: taking over poland is a not good plan, we need to use our old plan - you see huge countries at beginning of video with small lithuania? it has expanded and done it. Now we're a little better, we have a coastal city giving us much trade power. We should focus on weaponizing, military science to reach our goals, Example in schools, per math we would learn strategy than those calculations, giving us more generals and commanders per war. But mostly now we need to add to schools economy lessons. Without them we'll remain weak because of low funds.
NoMoneyNoLife NoMoneyNoLife yeah, so next time when you go to school, you should know that your knowledge is the way that lithuania can become powerful. math is mostly good for economy and strategy. most students in school are doing some random bad things or they just are like sleeping and being lazy out there.
@rakuuu85 Yes, the name "Belarus" is in fact creation of XIXc, Muscovite Tzar issued some "ukaz" which banned the very name "Lithuania" and promoted that "Belarus" instead. Not sure how it`s at now, but in II RP most of "Belarussian" peasants when asked for nationality were confused and replied "tutejszy" (local). A >Lithuanian< was just a citizen of the Grand Duchy, nobility with the time begun to speak Polish, so the Poles in Lithuania are just... Lithuanian nobility :)
Odrodzili powoli swój język i obyczaje...

1MuchButteR1 Sounds more like fanciful dreaming and not based on real aspirations of those nations in question. You would have Belarus and Latvia as minor players in a greater Lithuanian federation? They would rather join the EU before forming a federation of no consequence or means of thriving.
ArcherWook Yes it may sound like fantasy right now. But I would have said a month ago that Russia annexing parts of Ukraine in 21st century was just a fantasy as well.
1MuchButteR1 Really? well don't be too surprised when Russia starts "liberating" parts of Eastern Ukraine in the future. Russia has expressed several times that it wants to reunite its people with the motherland. This may be just the beginning of a greater storm. As for your federation? Too small and there are already several federations/unions competing for your coin. So No, I don't see your version of federation ever materializing in this century. Maybe if the EU were to collapse and there was no other club to join, maybe, but not very probable.
omg. Thanks you autor for this film. Now i know Poland and Lithuania have the same history. And this shit 123 years of Ocupation. Best wishes for independent country. ( Sorry for my English)
labai jau daug klaidu ;) pvz.:„1990 kovo 11d.
Lietuvos Patriotas In Poland were more cities and villages and we polonisated you. Now Lithuania look like polish region (something like Wielkopolska, Małopolska or Mazowsze). And it true but Lithuania were something like polish province.
Samogitia wasn't the only Baltic tribe that united into Lithuania. It was the formation of multiple Baltic tribes that formed Lithuania. Even today samogitians are only 30% of Lithuania.
It's the only way these names are given in polish schools. I know a lot of people here in Poland who left Lithuania after the war with names like Możwiłło, Możejko, Wojtonis, Martusewicz and I can only guess they names were like Mazvilas, Mazeikas, Vaitonis, Martusevicius (I probably give those wrong anyway) so it's hard both ways. But I hope this'll make easier to understand each other in the end.
Sad to see Poles and Lithuanians arguing over shit here... We were once one strong nation, stopped Muslim invasion in 1683, we did well against Russia, a nation that many others struggled against... Respects from Poland (I have nothing against Lithuanians)
@krzyzakwlkp ok i see your point, but i have queston what was the Capital of Lithuania all times? the answer is Vilnius, but you say that is Polish city so how it could be capital of other country ?
+hubert wawrzyniak u r right we should beat the living fuck out of western europe and skandinavians fuck em we now clean their toilets and keep money in their banks so they can live well ...
"However Vilnius is occupied by Poland" At that time (between 1919 and 1939) About 60% of people living in Vilnius were Polish, about 30% were Jewish and about 7% were Lithuanian.
Gdansk came under the Polish Crown in 1466 at the Second Peace of Thorn, and remained so until 1792 when it was annexed by Prussia. Thus it was under Polish rule for 326 years. It did not come under Polish rule again until 1945. Total period of Polish rule until present = 326 + 71 = 397 years. Not quite 700 years. By contrast, Vilnius was a Lithuanian city from the time of its foundation until the extinction of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1795. It was seized by Poland in 1920, and given back to Lithuania by Stalin in 1939, hence it was under Polish rule for only 19 years.
michael mills Earlier in the beginning of gdańsk's history it was a polish city (997-1308~311 years). 397+311=708. In the Interwar peroid Gdańsk was something like poland's puppet state (19 years). 708+19=727.
Before the Polish - Lithuanian Union between our countries was a permanent continuous war. I live 5 km from the old border with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Before the Union was not possible to live there. Lithuanians regularly conducted invasions, burned a couple of times Lublin. And we regularly set out to conquer out the Lithuanians. Every year something was wrong on both sides. After the Pl. -Lt. Union was peace. Currently, Lithuania goes its own way. We do not intend to disturb you.
Sorry, Lithuanian nation, but that big Grand Duchy of Lithuania was mostly, in 80%, Ruthenian one (Belarussian) There were many smaller half-independent states with their own princes in it and its structure was looseness. It was not the one state at all, rather kind of confederation of small states. An official language of Grand Duchy was Ruthenian (old Eastslavic/oldBelarussian) till 16th century, and than it was Polish. Vilnius and Vilnius region were Polish: in 16th century (and then up to 1939) Lithuanians were just 1% of its inhabitants. Most of inhabitants of this region were completely polonized (not forced to it, but by intermarriages and Polish settlement from Mazovia province in Poland since 15th century and because of the influence of Polish culture). More, the whole Lithuanian and Belarussian gentry was polonized in the same way and inhabitants of many towns). But Vilnius region was polonized all - with peasants too,and also neighboring Grodno city and Grodno region in Belarus for example. Vilnius was established by Lithuanians, but was polonized very quickly (and happily, not by force) and then Poles and Polish kings developed the town and, basically, built it. It is capital city of Lithuania today, but at the same time it is also the Polish heritage. Even university in Vilnius was established by Polish king Stefan Batory in the begining of 17th century.
the university creator is a transylvanian which was been elected as a king of poland btw he was a member of hungary batory noble family. to me you are a polish propogizer, you might want to do something bad to the lithuania, and you may be trying to give lithuanians false information to believe, then change their history things. to make me believe in you more/trust you more, please give me a NON-polish source that tells the lithuanians were very polonized. its like a lithuanian person married with a polish person, and they get a pole. if i would be a ruler of medieval lithuania, i would task my men to kill you. My country believes in their stuff, also don't even try to conquer my country with internet propoganda or whatever you do half or more lithuanians hate poles, even some discriminate them for being such propogizers like you. maybe we know our history better than the dang poles!?
Luky- so No you are wrong. The only Lthuanian on the Polish throne was Jagiello. Poland was a stong kingdom during Piast dynasty for 500 years and then it was under Jagiellonian dynasty for 200 years- but Jagiellonian dynasty lost strong, central position in the country and nobles took the power (by the way - nobl;es were 10% of the Polish society, they were mostly knights/fighters having t lands given them mostly by Piasts in 10-13 centuries ). Jagiello was the only Lithuanian in that dynasty and formally became d'Anjou (it was Hungarian part od d'Anyou mixed strongly with Piasts and Habsburgs). And formally Jagiello became just the husband of Polish king Jadwiga d'Anjou a niece of Polish king Casimir the Great from Piasts (the best Polish king in the history). Jagiello's children were half Lithuanian, his grandchidren were 1/4 Lithuanan, his great grand children were 1/8 Lithuaniani and so on. The only one really great king from that dynasty was Casimir Jagiellonczyk - the son of Jagiello. Anyway, there were Habsburg wifes, Kiev Russian wife, Germam wifes, Italian wife - the marriages typical for royal families in Europe. But there was never any Lithuanian on the Polish throne except Jagiello.
Ratka Rokas Ratkevičius The university in Vilnius was established by Polish king (elected to be a king of Poland) and financed with Polish money given and confirmed by Polish parliament (Sejm) - it was the era of Rzeczpospolita and Sejm was the decisive power in the Kingdom. Learn history. By the way - Batory was the husband of Anna Jagiellonka, a sister of the last Polish king from Jagiellonian dynasty (a son of Zygmunt the Old and Bona Sforza). His name, Batory, was from the property Bator, given to his family by the Polish king Wladysław IV (from Piasts) : you should also learn something more about Polish-Hungarian history and why Poles and Hungarians were so great friends for the whole last 1000 years and still really love each other (a phenomenon in Europe).
@dseano221 I'm just a standart sore head for the past. Many people in Lithuania don't even remember that happening....Yes youre relations with germans are better but are they better than Polish and Russian relations ? just asking :)

If people would stop insulting each other perhaps you would have more time for real discussion and discovery.
Nice video , greetings from Argentina
haha if we where still alive we could take over Poland! :( if we did survive russia and germany wouldnt have wars poland would stop that that is if ''Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth'' empire survived...our gentry i think what its called if the Lithuanian and Polish gentrys would of made up and not be mad at each other and well...win polish lithuanian commowealth was in place...we became weaker and weaker and weaker with all the riots and not making up...if we survived :(WE WOULD START WITH THE BALTIC COUNTRYS BALERUSS,POLAND eeerrr...lets leave germany alone for a little and all the other countrys ecept france and german aaa Le France Paris
Le BlockLord damn you're right :I
NoMoneyNoLife NoMoneyNoLife yeah, so next time when you go to school, you should know that your knowledge is the way that lithuania can become powerful. math is mostly good for economy and strategy. most students in school are doing some random bad things or they just are like sleeping and being lazy out there.
Le BlockLord yeah your really smart in wich grade are you in im in 4th
Im from Ukraine.
We love Lithuanians here. ;)

@Heke1959 Ačiū, kad pasidalinot, sėkmės kuriant video :)

@Heke1959 Laba,
Nepamirštu, tiesiog nelabai randu žemėlapių iš to meto :)
We have history, which no one have.
We survived all wars, and We're alive.
Lithuania is cool.
There should be no hate between our nations, together we were great power, we are weak alone. Love from Poland!

Hehe Polska znaczy Lenkija :D
Very nice name :D:D
Odrodzili powoli swój język i obyczaje...
O siaip - tikrai geras video - pagirtina.

Polish ppl have always great respect for Lithuanians. Litwa is our pride and good friend. Together we were most tolerant, liberal and biggest country in eastern Europe ever. Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth FTW!

Karlas Zuzickas and? you're saying that Lithuanian lands always belonged to you? It's OUR history too, thank you very much.

Lithuania+Latvia+Belarus = Great Lithuanian federation.
Why would Latvia and Belarus what to form a federation with Lithuania? Just asking.
Because Belarusian nationalists call themselves Lithuanians, and Latvians are our baltic brothers.
1MuchButteR1
Sounds more like fanciful dreaming and not based on real aspirations of those nations in question.
1MuchButteR1
Really? well don't be too surprised when Russia starts "liberating" parts of Eastern Ukraine in the future. Russia has expressed several times that it wants to reunite its people with the motherland. This may be just the beginning of a greater storm. As for your federation? Too small and there are already several federations/unions competing for your coin. So No, I don't see your version of federation ever materializing in this century. Maybe if the EU were to collapse and there was no other club to join, maybe, but not very probable.
labai geras klipas, ačiū už istorijos pamoką, ir už meilę Lietuvai
Lithuania + Belarus = Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
Stay strong balt brother.

In 1450, Poland looked as shit against Lithuania.
Lietuvos Patriotas In Poland were more cities and villages and we polonisated you. Now Lithuania look like polish region (something like Wielkopolska, Małopolska or Mazowsze). And it true but Lithuania were something like polish province.
***** hey whats poland is it a russian village
Lithuania is something like polish toilet.
***** nah warsaw is toilet and krakow is dumpyard
***** Polish history are shit against our great history, battles (Žalgirio, Durbės).
Greetings to all Lithuanians, wether you want it our not we are brothers ! We shared history, great leaders. There's no need for puny wars now.
Rzeczypospolita obojga narodów, to jest to !
You're Spying Tacy sobie?
Samogitia wasn't the only Baltic tribe that united into Lithuania. It was the formation of multiple Baltic tribes that formed Lithuania. Even today samogitians are only 30% of Lithuania.
yes! my countrys epicand sad history like us lithuanians say:lithuania the land of heroes!
@Vessemir Sure there wher pols but not 60% in 1918 in 1920 when Vilnius occupated that numbers of course increased
So, please, tell the whole story of the Grand Duchy to the world!
Long live :-)
Respects from Poland (I have nothing against Lithuanians)
what is sound 2:03 ? i'm like this sound :)
@krzyzakwlkp ok i see your point, but i have queston what was the Capital of Lithuania all times? the answer is Vilnius, but you say that is Polish city so how it could be capital of other country ?
Why we can't all be friends against real enemy? Can someone explain me why "patriots" from Poland and Lithuania are fighting in the comments?
Walrus Thanks for some good words:) Greeting from Poznan.
+hubert wawrzyniak u r right we should beat the living fuck out of western europe and skandinavians fuck em we now clean their toilets and keep money in their banks so they can live well ...
PhoenixZ Okey, then I must hate Russians and Germans because they killed many Polish and occupied my country for long time?
PhoenixZ History must be remeberd, but if we will be still fighting, we didn't learn anything from our past.
"However Vilnius is occupied by Poland" At that time (between 1919 and 1939) About 60% of people living in Vilnius were Polish, about 30% were Jewish and about 7% were Lithuanian.
You mean Polonised lithuanians?
O kur dingo laikotarpis nuo 1009 iki 1209 metu? :)
grazu geras darbelis.
If Vilnius should be Polish, then Gdansk should be German.
+michael mills
Gdańsk:
-polish-700 years
-german-300 years
Gdansk came under the Polish Crown in 1466 at the Second Peace of Thorn, and remained so until 1792 when it was annexed by Prussia.
Vilnius
-poland 20years
-Lithuania 1000years
michael mills Earlier in the beginning of gdańsk's history it was a polish city (997-1308~311 years). 397+311=708. In the Interwar peroid Gdańsk was something like poland's puppet state (19 years). 708+19=727.
Fi 0Z U are right. Lviv is Polish, Vilnius is Lithunian.

You are ordinary polish history fairytailer
you wish!
