Greetings from Australia - that was interesting, answered a few questions I had about sowing fields. Loved the video style too, kind of old school, suited the old school machinery you guys were using 👍
Great video again. Dad and I had an Oliver it was the wooden built one. Still had the wooden step on the back. We used it all the way up till he passed 10 years ago. It was a work horse. Love the memories you guys bring back to me.
We always drag a wood board float behind the drill.. Made a place to ride a you can pick all the rocks that roll on top seemed to be a good time when sowing. Enjoy the videos
I agree with your observation about the electronics of the planter not being calibrated from one side to the other. There may be a problem with the electrical current coming from the tractor through the bale strings. 😉
Love watching your videos! Im learning something in everyone and its great. Do you ever rotate your crops in the "hay" fields? Say like every 6 years or so when the regrowth starts to fade, plant some turnips and plow them under for green manure? i know you said u dont fertilize, but thought id ask.
A day with nothing to do on a dairy farm? Hmmm I'm thinking not. I feel ya my car has no A.C. and needs charging. No corn planted for the cows? Thanks for sharing. 🐮 🐄 🚜
Could be if planter is ground driven n your keep making turns to 1 side as in Lefts. Wheel on opposite side is turning while other isn't thus why one side is using more seed. That would be my guess.
Good video. The seeds looks big in comparison to the sudangrass seeds that i know ; they are not much bigger than grass seed . Or is this sorghum-sudan ?
Love to see the older equipment in use. It is not junk! It is available! If it could only talk, the stories it could tell!
the little chains help cover the seed, on my drill i had a big log chain hooked on both ends really did a nice job

Great video very enjoyable .
We planting Sudangrass for silage and mowing about 3 times
Nice planting video.
If we lost a field of sudangrass, we would run the disk over it, then plow in the spring... always makes darn nice corn!
Good video 👍

How deep did you plant the seed? Also I see that the auto-steer was working good LOL
Great video! Do you raise any corn or soybeans?
Good video.

Son needs araise ... hes doing all the work ...
What do the little rings that drag at the end of planter do?
They cover the seed.
Yes, they are meant to put dirt back over the seed
DONT YOU FALL OFF Little boy.
My neighbour was mowing hay one day and the child fell off the tractor and got cut up in the cutter .
