To be honest, she's still on the hard as I work to restore her. I was laid off in April and I thought it best to wait until I had steady income so I haven't had much time onboard other than the summer I bought her. She handled like a dream though, if you can get used to steering in reverse with the skeg, which really isn't that hard. She's a great boat.
@@ontheruntonowhere oh, so sorry to hear about the layoff. I’m looking to do similar project work as well but really want to enjoy it some before pull her out. I’ve rehabbed nearly a dozen boats over the years, but this time I’ll get to see how it’s done first. Thanks for sharing your videos and best of luck on getting sailing again soon!
@@gossardpictures2268 It makes sense that a 4' draft would be less stable than a 5.5' draft, but this boat was a compromise of condition, attributes and price. It's a coastal cruiser and I don't have plans to sail across an ocean with it.
Nice boat
Thanks! She's proving to be a handful!
@@ontheruntonowhere Welcome
Nice boat! What are your thoughts after owning her for a few years now? Good, bad, etc… asking because I’m seriously considering ‘72 Bristol 34.

@@angryskipper Thanks for the encouragement and thanks for watching. I'll look forward to seeing your videos soon!
Is its center of gravity low enough to survive a Knockdown in relly bad weather or worse case capzised an flip back to normal
I don't know but we'll find out someday.
Maybe, but being a centerboarder it will be notably less stable than the fin keel version which is certainly safe in open water, drafting 5 1/2 ft.

@HoytFergus Lol but the mast is currently laying on its side next to the boat on the hard 😭 I do appreciate the sentiment though :)
Looks like a good deal engine appears good, painting ain't rocket science just time and elbow grease
As I have found out! :) I painted the deck this fall, with varied success.
1/2 the video of your face? rename the video 1/2 of the video "my pretty face and 1/2 the boat !!!!!!!!!!!!!
