@autobahnwheelco For short films I use a glidecam, dolly and/or steadicam - I don't use a glidecam for skateboarding but I have a battery grip which adds weight to the camera and reduces shake. I would recommend that for DSLR shooting. This was a great video regardless, I posted it to my site.
@autobahnwheelco A glidecam just adds bottomweight to the camera, the harness thing you are thinking of is a steadicam which is strapped to your body. And yes I film skating.
@markubowski T2i or 60D maybe? Not sure what is the current one that can do what you like but isnt too pricey. I use the 7D because you can shoot 8fps photo sequences.

See the guy it zooms into throwing his hand up after the nollieflip? That was the security guard! hah...he was like, "OK, I'll circle around once and you guys gotta be done by the time I come around." And it's small so we got those two lines in about 5-7 minutes tops. Place looks rad in HD but I don't think you'll see much footage of it. Sick spot tho.
