I spent 6 years as a mechanic on those in the US Air Force. That's an E model Hercules built around 1964. As much of a hunk of junk as they were, they still hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for sharing this beautiful bird.
After the last unpleasant events, you deserved vacation and recreation with less demanding models. I believe that you will be in the top form for new challenging projects soon. I wish you a health , happiness and joy.

The nose gear is exactly like the real aircraft! The opening cargo door is a pretty cool feature too, you can have it open mid-flight and pretend to deploy paratroopers. Hope you have fun with this new RC plane!

Looks like a Herkie bird, the nickname we gave the real ones. The landing speed of the full size one was just at 90 knots and it could land and takeoff from your field. I spent three full years working various models of the C-130, from A's to P's with refueling pods and the cat whisker pick up system.
