- We're moving right along with our restoration of our 1975 Boler fiberglass camper! Today's video is picking up right where we left off last video where I finished the butcher block countertop and prepped it for the under-mount sink and drop in cook-top stove. This episode is a bit of a smorgasbord board of content, and after a bit of cabinet building and painting I'll show you guys how I built a really neat little under the bed storage unit using some IKEA storage boxes and totes.

Whoo Hooo! Another Boler video!
Okay, you get a carpenter of the year award for being sealed into the closet!!! Wow, I would not have done that in 1 million years, plus I am way too fat!!! Bro, it would have taken the jaws of life to extricate me from that, assuming I could have found a way to stuff myself into that box. Holy cow, thank God Tessa’s drill did not die!
Great to see Tessa and Lolly in a video again!
Love the panel frame you created with the hatching fabric, not sure what to call it, but WOW, that was creative for sure. My Mom and I were so IMPRESSED. Very creative!!! What a great idea!!!
OMG, that pull wrap material looked SO AWESOME!!! This is the first time I have ever seen that. Wow, what a creative and professional look!!!
BTW: Love the cameo of the MIGHTY Kubota!!!
Oh man, great way to overcome a miscalculation. In my opinion, your solution turned out way better!!! Hats off to you my friend, most people may not realize what it takes to combine the production pieces with your custom work AND get everything to line up properly. Great job taking the proper measurements and great job working on the problem and coming up with a solution!!! Very creative AND practical!!!
Love how you calculated the face frame. As a puke woodworker, I am VERY impressed and will add your technique to my tool bag!!!
Hehehehehe… we loved seeing Lolly being the site boss and green lighting the cir saw!!!
I have to ask, as a hack wood worker, where did you come up with the design? Your design seemed so well thought out and deliberate! You nailed it buddy!!! We loved the look of the finished cabinets. So creative!!!
You CRUSHED that under bed storage!!! Brilliant, just brilliant!!! Killer battle plan!!! Well thought out. It is clear you spent a lot of time doing prep!!!! You made that look easy and I am sure it was not!!!
OMG, I loved the secret storage space!!!
Danny, like always, you CRUSHED that build. That was way more complicated than it looked. Well done my friend!!! I learned a lot!!!
We cannot wait to see more Boler videos!!!
Stay safe and be well my friend!!!
New fear unlocked: Tessa's drill dying 😬 I never even thought about that. Being stuck in that closes for as long as I was was really uncomfortable. But it worked!! Lol
Glad you liked the way the cabinets came out with the Pole Wrap and the Cane Webbing! Those were Tessa's idea and they came out pretty nice! It's even better when the idea turns out and works! Definitely gotta love the Kubota sitting there looking pretty!
Thanks for the comment on the miscalculation of those Ikea totes. I agree that what I ended up coming up with likely came out better than what I initially had in mind. It was a crazy idea and i'm pretty stoked that it worked out. Plus, we took the Boler on a couple of camping trips in the summertime and nothing fell apart - score!
The template idea was something I learned from a Facebook group that is all about Bolers and Scamps. It's something I had never tried prior to this project, but it sure works well! Just a lot of trial and error!
Haha that's my dog! She will lay on anything that is not the ground and she practically claimed that 1/8" plywood sheet.
Are you referring to the design of the under the bed storage and how I came up with it? Honestly, it was mostly original! Those Ikea Trofast units can be bought in tons of configurations. Most of the time, people will buy a unit that is tall and can fit one to four totes high.. and then they'll construct it in the closet of the Bolers/Scamps. We liked that idea, but overall felt it would make it hard to hang coats/clothing in the closet.. So, I came up with the under the bed idea! I had never seen anyone do that before, and I love how it turned out! Can't tell you how much I appreciate the words regarding how it came out!!
I really like that secret hatch as well! Any ideas as to what should go in there?
Thank you thank you thank you to you and your mom for watching this video!! I appreciate it more than you know! I have more that I'll be posting soon.. Ahh how I love wintertime as it's finally slowed down enough so that I can edit!
Take care, and talk to you guys next time!
Great build out. Love the adaptation of the IKEA system
I really appreciate it, thanks!!
