I like that you chose to work in a classic Filipino barber shop, rather than a trendy, up-and-coming salon. It was an apt decision that lent itself to an authentic experience in terms of spirit and feeling. And that was a nice, heartwarming anecdote that you shared about cutting your dad's hair. I had a good chuckle. At any rate, I think you did alright for a barber shop assistant on her first day.
jessica is so addicting, no BS and pretentions just authentic content all the time unlike other vloggers or content creators who will fake scenarios or corny crap just to exaggerate simple situation her vlog is purely what it is and that is what so addicting because its just her wit and charm with her smart at the same time she's willing to learn, i dont subscribe to people channel but she was the first channel i subscribe to last year because seeing her on youtube everyday is a joy...goodluck again jess

For the majority of us men, a good haircut makes a HUGE difference. Our Haircut plays one of the biggest roles. Every time I got a Good Haircut, it always makes me feel fresh asf. It boosts my confidence tremendously. It motivates me to dress better and go to the gym more (imagine lifting weights while looking at the mirror and seeing a slick haircut of yours) HAHAHAaaaahh feels good man. It's one of the essential things a gentleman must possess. How someone maintains their hair will tell you a lot about them in those first few seconds. Pero kung ikaw mag gugupit, I'm willing to risk it all. 👨🏼🦲😆
salons taking over barber shops in SK is interesting to me. I feel like there was also a time here in PH when salons are became more common and boys were going there instead of barbershops. There used to be like a few men and women salons here in our area. Now I can hardly see one and even if they service men as well, you would rarely find one in them. When classic hairstyles got in trend, so did these newer, better barbershops popped up that offered services at prices slightly higher than normal barber shops. Normal barber shops usually cost around 50 to 100 php and these newer barber shops like Nuevo in your video offers slightly higher prices and they usually have actually trained barbers. I personally go to the latter and have a suki barber ive been going to for the past 3 years.

Road to 1M.
Barber shop, historically, was Filipinos comfort place for men. Here they find news and updates of people and events. Some plays chess or dama (local chess). In our place in Pampanga, the Pangilinan barbershop is even a place for ankle sprain and body pain healing center we call "hilot".
It's modernise now but if I can make a business one day, I'll bring back some of my childhood memories.

I just recently discovered Miss Lee’s vlog. I think she’s great and a natural. I’m Filipino but I live and grew up in California. I feel like she’s more Filipino than I am. 😊. As a child I grew up in the province of Ilocos Sur so I love it that she grew up in the province of Bohol. She’s so genuine. It comes through the videos. Her team is great with their little comments.

Today I learn about pomade and I'm gonna try it because my hair is so all over the place XD. I've already tried gel and other things but pomade... Not really so I'm curious. I'm trying the oil based version since it apparently has less chemicals and holds your hair better.

You said in one of your videos that your favorite is the original flavor (aka the plain one) of the Lucky Me pancit canton. Since you and Lia and her sister are pancit canton adiks haha.. I wanna suggest an idea of a future content if you'll consider it. Ask Lia and her sister again and try these 2 brands of pancit canton that I will suggest.. We have this so-called “patok jeep” or “trendy jeep” that has fancy artwork in the physical appearance of their jeep, and they also have these good quality speakers to play different trendy music to allow passengers not to get bored during the long commute 😂 not for some seniors, of course, they hate the loud bass of the music 😂
We have those kinds of jeepneys here around binangonan-angono-Taytay Rizal. The most common ones can be found in the Binangonan Rizal terminal or at sat.Lucia mall terminal which is P2P (point-to-point) -Im not sure if there’s this kind of jeep within metro manila
This might sound fun and interesting because you can do some content about sharing the details of the jeep as “the king of the road” symbolizing the Philippines Culture and modernization.

In America the barber shop is pretty much alive. Most NBA super stars and rappers including movie stars prefer to go to barber shops and they have their favorite barber. A few even fly their barber in their private jet to have a haircut. Steph Curry and Lebron James have their barber cut their hair.
