ODST felt like a war game Not that u were a overpowered spartan ODST made alot of people get interested into the lore of what the fuck was going on VIA books
I copy paste what I wrote whenever I see this opinion about ODST: I swear, I hate this statemment so much the game literally starts off with you jumping down a 4 story building like it's no big deal. You move and jump almost as fast and high as in H3, you can still rip off whole turrets and use gravity hammers. You have a energy shield that is invisible and you actually tank damage more than Chief in H2 legendary. A brute is supoosed to be be ~600kg in lore which is 3 times more than a silverback and you can punch him to death head on when he charges you in a feral rage... That statement is about just a soldier is so dumb, sorry but people who say that about ODST, that is completely in your head.
Yes yes it is a great game but it lacks in atmosphere compared to the old trilogy imo, things like the filter on overlaying the screen and every corner lookin the same in the city. I really think people overblow ODST. The game really feels like a spinoff DLC for H3. I hear people mention the rain and the truth is that rain in all Halos that feature it is so weak that you have to squint and lean foreward to notice it. The drums and other nieche OST is amazing but the Jazz is a miss for me. Other overblown things people mention is that "ODST make you feel human and smal because you are not a spartan super soldier". What about the immersion? it was okay for me but I do understand what people feel playing this and I did experience that feeling when I played it through on Legendary, Solo + Iron and collect all of the audio logs, A challange I recommend for anyone who miss and love ODST but don't get the same kick replaying it anymore. But beware of the part where Buck is on the turret at the end, he does not have the ai aim and is useless. Don't get me wrong, I love ODST. But I am bothered with people regurgitating the hype from back then after release of people imagining things. People who love atmospheric shooters, try STALKER Chadow of Chernobyl, Metro 2033 ;)
The big mistake you are making is you aren't seeing the big picture. It is like you are ripping all the instruments out of a piece of music and then comparing each individual instrument to another complete piece of music and declaring that the instrument by itself doesn't stack up. Kind of seems like you didn't watch the video to be honest. The creator does a pretty good job of explaining how it is how all the individual elements of something are what create the atmosphere.
@@BaNgInHeAdS No I heard it, I simply said the jazzy stuff was a miss for me. I never argued that it was objectively bad. It's a personal taste and some cannot stand the jazzy Halo ost. Hearing that always broke my immersion and it's a matter of personal taste ;) And about immersion, I immerse into my game and I mentioned STALKER SoC which is a stupid game if you pick it apart aswell. I have NO issue with ODST, just people exaggerating how amazing it was
Still listeting to ODST's ost, its one of the kind.

I don’t think the fallout radio should be called the fallout soundtrack. You should really listen to the ambient music, especially for the older games
It is definitionally part of the soundtrack and easily the more recognizable part. Weird comment.
