I was fortunate enough to be a kid/teenager during there hey day with a brother in law that rode in the Texas Circuit. I have literally seen rodeo's where an 88 placed 8th. With likes of Lambert, Frost, Murray, Sharp, Tuff and what most people forget is the likes Monty Penny, Raymond Wessel and on and on. Those where the days, great interview Luke.

Cody talking about the old days of Lane, Tuff, Jim, and Dave brought back such great memories I was barrel racing then and spending time in Red Bluff and at Growney’s ranch . Great interview!

I lived on Terry Walls ranch, stock contractor, in college at Tarelton riding bulls in NIRA. Had bull riding jackpots every week. Get up and get on the pickup horse Danny and take care of the bulls. Never even took off my spurs for classes... Bob Wilfong worked for Terry then and could not throw him off bareback or saddle bronk... Those were for sure the best days of my life:) I remember Cody too...

That Cow Palace saddle sick. I grew up in NorCal and the Grand National was a yearly trip to the big city. Thanks for sharing that memory

It's sad and it's appreciative at that time Cody was still riding and I had Brent Thurman on one of The bold horses during the national finals and Brent did not know how to ride and I tried to encourage him so much that I had to ask Cody Lambert to help me with you cuz I couldn't get him to understand he wasn't going to come off the horse so two nights before he was killed I asked Cody to help me with Brent He said what's the problem and they've got him on this horse and I don't want him getting hurt cuz that's not what he's here for and I said he sent you the horse so tight he could injure the horse and Cody help me out with Brent and then Cody got him off of the horse in the next night he was killed. ,💝
