I just realized something. Throughout the beginning of the game yin tries to kill you but at the end he explains how it wasn't his intention almost as if it was out of his control. When you fight stalk he says that he is going to rip your limbs apart and use your head as a puppet. Yin is missing limbs (rest is in reply of this comment)
And is mainly a head. Almost as if yin was being controlled by stalk before you beat him. This would explain why he is so nice to you at the end because once you defeated stalk nobody was controlling yin. Am I the only one that thought of this?
No, since you defeated stalk, there will never be things that just disappear. So, maybe the cake was the final remains of stalk.if you didn’t eat the cake, it would use its final power to make yin kill you.
Fun fact:if you beat stalk yin phase 2 and see yin apologise go instead to the exit and yin will block you and eat the cake and go out once you got to bed yin will come to your house and then push you off the window that how you get bad ending.
