Sorry people are giving you trouble about owning Hornby models. You are just happy showing what your collection is made up of instead of focusing on the manufacturer. People these days criticize because they can hide behind a keyboard. If they do not like what you have to offer, then they do not have to watch. You do not need the negativity on your channel. You have two wagons on your railway that I used to have... They were part of my first 'electric' train set. It was the Hornby GWR pick up goods set, the wagons are the Fine Fish wagon and the OCEAN open wagon! Takes me back to happer times, as a kid, no hassle, nothing to worry about! None of this adult stuff, like having to pay the bills, buy your own food etc. Always good to see how your layout has come on. Keep up the good work, and keep enjoying the hobby! And just be yourself, ! Take care!

As to those key board warriors who make disparaging remarks about your layout and choice of locos and brands they probably don't event have a layout. I love my model trains as well as my model ships,cars,etc.I am not a serious person for detail,history,but I very much appreciate it.I go to my shed and fiddle with my tall ships ,trains,planes,etc while listening to Black Sabbath or Vivaldi.True relaxation.Your channel is true relaxation.

Nice one Jen, it's great that you love the hobby enough to 'do it yourself' and be independent. I see 'Big Eric' is supervising the layout and keeping the 'little ones' under control. You're completely right with the lighter evenings being able to show off the north side of the layout better as it puts a whole new visual perspective on things from different views. Wow love the O Gauge Black 5! I saw a really nice kit built O gauge Black 5 at the York Easter model railway show. 30th March was when I went. I did not manage to see all the layouts, neither did I come back with much new stuff, a couple of O gauge laser-cut building kits (JS Models) , and a O gauge 'powered straight' (Peco). There were other items that caught my eye but was unsure of spending the money on a O gauge RTR locomotive! for an event like the York easter show, you really need to two days to be abel to see it all, but you would need to stay over somewhere and that is out of most people's pocket range! But I still had a enjoyable day!

Hi Jennifer, I know its hard to ignore the negative comments but I think that seems to come with the territory nowadays, that people think they have the right to belittle or defame others, its a shame but it seems to be true, just remember you have a lot of subscribers who appreciate you, your channel and your layout. I do have one slight complaint and that is that I have trouble hearing what you say as you come through very quiet. I have separate speakers that I use and I don't seem to have trouble hearing people like Charlie at Chadwick or John at Piccadilly or others but maybe its just because your soft spoken. Nice job on all three. J27 sounded a bit meaty on the joints, hope she has the pulling power it sounds like it has. I love the std4 as well. I can remember them in service as a child. The K2 I've only known in preservation.
Just wanted to say that personally I enjoy your channel. Offer suggestions or advice is fine and can be helpful, but I have little time for anyone who just criticises and makes negative comments. One thing I realised a long time ago is that in life it tends to be the arseholes that have the loudest voices and you hear far less from the majority of people who are decent, so ignore any naysayers. Nobody's forcing them to watch. What matters is that you enjoy the hobby and it makes a nice change to see a woman who's passionate about a very male dominated interest, rather than a grumpy old rivet counter.🙂 Some people are forever slagging off Hornby and whilst some of the criticism is fair comment there are plenty of things they do well, for instance IMO they have arguably the best mechanisms and they seem to have been listening with most of their recent models being excellent, if somewhat pricey. The K1 is a good example. I've got a particular soft spot for mine and it's probably my favourite goods train. Being a mogul it' stands out as a bit different, I love the red banding and it's a quality model. In fact almost* all Hornby's small tender engines are excellent: The K1, J15, J36, Drummond 700 and BR 2MT. All have diecast boilers and good detail as well as good mechanisms. The Pecketts are also fantastic little locos and again have diecast bodies. Have you considered getting one? Or don't you feel they'd fit in with your layout? If you do get one you won't be disappointed as they're superb little locos in a very wide range of liveries. * The one exception is the Fowler 4F which I believe is an old Airfix tooling. It should really be part of the Railroad range along with the 2P and 8F. All three have ancient toolings and are vastly over priced for what they are, especially the 8F.
I love the new locos they all look very nice and very well finished 👍 Your layout and loco collection are superb and it's no one's business what you buy with your own money for your hobby I don't know what it is with Hornby and social media it seems to attract some very odd people. They seem to get very angry about model trains for some reason. I think most are not real railway people. It was me who put a comment on saying they should check insta and see you train pics. Never mind they are not worth bothering about As for you working for Hornby, 😂 they couldn't afford someone with your talents You take care 👸of 🚂

Where do these people get their ideas from? The scenic areas on your layout look great and the light makes them look even more atmospheric. I do love the K1 in the BR black livery. I bought one a couple of years ago as a result of seeing a video of the Jacobite train.
I know I love a Black 5 but the K1 is the traditional Jacobite train for me 😁👍

Goodness me, there are some mentally challenged and very sad people out there with this gossip. Just because someone likes Hornby or other manufacturer's models doesnt mean you are paid by them. Where do these people get their ideas from?
The scenic areas on your layout look great and the light makes them look even more atmospheric.
My wife likes Black 5s so Im waiting for the new Hornby one to come out and may see about having it renamed and number Eric Tracey as we rode behind that on the NYMR a fe wyears ago,
