They still are in big financial trouble but he's transformed Barcelona within months. Something Arteta has taken 2 years to achieve. If Vieira wins the fa cup, I d have to give it to him because that Palace team is seriously underwhelming in terms of quality as compared to Arsenal and specially Barcelona. Because of Xavi, quality players are willing to join Barcelona even on lower wages not to mention the free agents. They are briging in millions worth of talent to the club for free and can pay a serious part of their debt through the sale of fringe players. Barcelona will be a beast next year.

It's called the 'honeymoon' period. Remember Ole at united, his first season (half of a season) was so good, they gave him the permanent job. Even arteta initially, without changing the team, managed to win the FA cup. When this honeymoon is over, the following season where the analysis is to be done.
The following season were planned. You're talking about 8th? That was perfect planning by Arteta, Edu and the whole family. That gives the opportunity to a very young coach, and a very young squad, to get familiarized with more practice sessions and reps. All of of knew that they were going going youth. There's no need to analyze anything there. People that have no foresight can be so clouded in their judgment. Arteta clear
The difference is few players in the world see the game like Xavi does. Ole was never a tactical genius or anything, Xavi is. Xavi is so much smarter than Ole, Arteta as well. He was assistant to Pep, who is the best manager in the world. So the cases of arteta and Xavi are way different compared to ole
@ ALI, u don't have to apologize. Yes he played with jukla but he brought the intensity and went back to Barca style whichb proved to be effective. Yes without winter transfer it might have taken longer but he started with right direction

Arteta in Arsenal as a rookie manager and won an FA and community shield at the height of a pandemic, with a squad that was average. The other two coaches have had prior experience on the job
Xavi has done an amazing job so far, but this goes to Arteta. Arteta inherited a squad with lazy superstars on huge wages, a team that was very low on confidence and disconnected from the fans. He won two trophies with them in his first season and then got rid of all the rotten apples, signed 6 young players who all look to be top class, and has unified the team and connected the team back to the fan base. All of this while also tactically improving the squad and pushing for a top 4 place for the first time since Wenger left.
@@kevendepina That's what we thought when Arteta won 2 trophies. Barcelona are just on a high right now after switching managers and playing for Xavi. Once they come down to reality we can really tell what is going on.
Real Madrid are focused on attacking prowess when the game is controlled by midfield where barcelona will always beat them by always strengthening in that area first, that in the long term will give them the upper hand
I think its time for them to stop undermining other leagues from EPL, superstars like Eden and coutinho, small yet effective in epl are nowhere near that level in la liga. SuperStars like Salah and jota and silva and sterlings are rocking epl even tho they are small. They should stop saying this and that type of player wont succeed in Epl.
Xavi has done more in a shorter timeframe than Arteta, but the culture around arsenal was awful before he got in, and he struggled early but has come through the other side by relying on youth like Xavi has. But Viera has been awesome, taking a team that sits back and making them play an attractive style while being successful with it with fewer resources than either of the other two. I hope they can get in Europa at least for next season
ngl solid point but what Xavi is doing rn IS JUST INSANE, 12 games unbeaten around 6 of those scoring 4 goals and winning with barely any goals conceeded and beating Madrid 4-0 above all, im confident if Arsenal had to go face to face with the likes of Madrid it would go the complete other way around, so in that sense Arteta is clearly still UNPROVEN where Xavi has already proved himself in all aspects including beating Atletico and Madrid 4-2 and 4-0, which btw Xavi has only been here for four months but Arteta has been there for 2-3 YEARS my guy

Barcelona was always one of the favorites to win La Liga, for the past 20 years, So for them to fall to 9th at the start of the season, and be in the position that they were ,was a shocker. I would say Arteta. Yes Xavi also did a fantastic job but bringing the 3 top PL players has helped Barca more. But coming back from an awful initial performance in PL to 4th place and challenging Chelsea for 3rd place is a great comeback. In Spain ATM aren't playing that good this season. After Suarez left Barca it started struggling as the strategy became like 'pass to Messi'. After Xavi took over he reorganized the group whose results we are witnessing now. The team was always strong but after some players left it became a problem for them which is now solved.
I think right now Barcelona can beat any team in the world...they thrashed napoli, athletico, real Madrid top teams in Europe.. I don't think arsenal are quite ready to do that
Can’t believe they are trying to compare all three. They have all one incredible jobs. Vieria was tipped to sacked first gets them to a FA cup semi final. Used a lot of younger players and made them mid table. People saying Arteta had three seasons is wrong. It is 2.5 seasons. His first half season won an FA Cup. Palace are playing a more exciting brand of football but are in the same spot on the table as they always have been, arteta has been there for 3 seasons and they got much worse before they got better under him, xavi has stepped in and almost instantly made Barca play better (yes he has better players) but you’d have to give him the top spot out of the three.

As an Arsenal fan, I would like to say Arteta and Vieira who are both doing an exceptional job. However, I have to give to Xavi. The man came to Barcelona when the club was an absolute mess.
