I was wondering who the maker was and if it was sterling or plated. I can't imagine offering an estimate without knowing that information. I doubt either one of the co-hosts recognized George Jensen's name. They were just throwing out wild numbers. Meanwhile, Dr. Lori is standing there grinning like the Cheshire Cat. She knows they can't possibly come up with a realistic number when they don't even ask the right questions.
Well I'll be danged! Glad to see this video. When our regional Telecom got bought out by AT&T, I discovered they did spring auctions to fundraise for various charities they support. I was looking for a new phone and was able to purchase an executive model of the first Android smartphone Samsung ever made-their flagship Samsung Galaxy Captivate 3G. It came in this huge box (yes I still have it) with a car charger, wall charger, Sim card, operating manual & case. I used that phone till AT&T shut down 3G & loved it. As a matter of fact, I still use it daily to play games on & is the sturdiest phone I've ever owned. Now I'm wondering if I should quit playing with it. BTW, Im still using the original battery too. One if my tech support friends advised me that if possible, I should always drain the battery completely so the cells were ALL being replenished when being charged. 13 years later, I think the guy was right...
That was amazing. $5000 for an unused phone, in the packaging? Does a tray like that always have to be silver to be worth anything? I have one that came from a silver tea set, but doesn't have any markings. And finally I love movie posters, Dr. Lori. Sadly I don't have any. But I have hockey posters still in the packaging.
you can send her a picture and she will evaluate it for you. Or you can take it to an appraiser and get printed appraisal. Her site it called. drlori.com
Her first-generation iPhone sold at auction for $63,356.40 (£51,900) on Sunday. (2023) That blew away expectations the phone would go for $50,000. It's also more than 100 times the 8GB phone's original cost of $599.
What would that IPhone be worth now, if she had opened the box and used it? The owner needs to put it into a safe deposit box and let the value appreciate a few more years!!
Dr. Lori is so sly, standing there grinning while the co-hosts throw out wild numbers. The 2 most important bits of information they needed to make realistic appraisals are underneath and they can't see them. Jensen is well known amongst collectors, but I doubt that knowing that one fact would have changed anything for them. However, sterling silver versus plated silver is a major game changer. But Dr. Lori nails it once again. That's why she's the best and the rest of us only aspire to achieve her level.🏆
Wow what kind of phone did she get at the time that she didn't open an iPhonephones for coming in and out like crazy at that time I mean I remember I had a Virgin Mobile and all I had to do was really just call it Virgin Mobile and they would upgrade my phone for free🤷🏼♀️
Dr. Lori, red is definitely your color! You look beautiful! 😊
