Max Hasert - Genetic engineering and eugenics aren’t the same thing. The former is working to improve quality of life by removing genetic diseases before someone is born, extending lifespan, etc. The latter is the sterilization of anyone you declare undesirable.

I don't know if they've actually started allowing sexual content in workshop yet. I don't think they curate games and community content the same way.
Cross-breeding was already a thing in the sex-mods, though it didn't grant any extra trait-points. Looking at this, it seems like the devs were fans.

I usually run a purist empire but I'm open to utilizing some space elves as "comfort" slaves for my chosen one. Can't build booty bots in my psionic empire so might as well.

In all actuality this could work rather interestingly, specially if it gives an opinion boost with the nation of origin from your other halves. And I will want to see if it’s a gestalt compatible trait (probably not, but we can hope)...in which case my favorite species will definitely use it (a hive type thing that doesn’t so much slaughter and eat...but still absorbs other empires as vassals and tributaries)

What do you mean "eugenics is coming to Stellaris"? You can already kinda do it. gene editing the perfect race is basically an ascension path.
I see some potentially useful applications for this! First: role-play (giggty). Xenophiles can now go aaalll the way. Xenophobes can now purge all species that have this trait or (if you're playing on deneb) exterminating the half human mutants.

I wonder how this can be used with genetic engineering. Some careful interbreeding then a little careful genetic modification and a careful relocation plane and you could probably easily get a really powerful species out of this.

So I can make my founder species a psionic cybernetic brainslugged erudited species, without using the Ketlings as my sort of main species. Will leaders then finally get all those traits in the recruitment menu or is that fixed to one till three traits?

Purity Commissars that keep unrest down in worlds better than a stronghold and purge pops faster with their building on a planet.
Or everytime you purge a pop you gain energy credits after they are dead as their belongings now belong to the state
And a Coalition to replace Federations. Coalitions are like Federations but act as defensive pacts but with just -2 Influence (like federation) and a small science boost to Coalition members of 10%. The point is that genocide is favorable amongst Xenophobic Empires as purity is one of the foundations of the Empires. Coalitions would be low budget Federations with the intent of preserving relations between minor xenophobic races that can tolerate trade and the virtures of one another. Purging should also provide a small unity boost and government ethic attraction while it is happening.
How long do you think it will be before a mod comes out that creates hybrid portraits of all the current species portraits?
