Not true, I have a mp3 piaggio and only occasionally do I need the reverse gear. They roll back with a push of both legs quite comfortably and even a tiny incline means effortless roll back. They both weigh roundabout 280 kg. I'm in the process's of switching to a cv3 550 kymco and don't anticipate any problem with the reverse leg push out. You only need reasonable leg strength, not exceptional leg strength to push these three wheelers backwards without getting off to do it. What's more I'm 64 years of age, so a younger person shouldn't have any problem.
Yes it bloody is get one if you can they are far superior to an mp3 530 one of which I currently own. As a rider of 13 years standing of three wheelers these are by a Country mile the best thing to hit the UK three wheel market ever. There is absolutely no comparison to anything else including my current 2 year old mp3 530 which I can't wait to ditch for this three wheel monster. I ve ridden five different three wheelers as I change every two years, trust me the cv3 550 kymco is In a class of its own.
I think you should be careful telling people you don't need a motorcycle license because it has three wheels. Especially since in the states each state has the own laws. And some have trike laws and this falls under a trike in those states. Needing a special motorcycle license.
