Q: If the PRESS player gets beaten, the COVER PLAYER will take over.
So, if the PRESS takes the COVER player's position on the pitch, WHAT IS THAT MOVEMENT CALLED ?
I'm doing the UEFA C in Spain at the moment, and they call this a PERMUTA ( exchange, permutation...).

Quality video! What's your opinions on Marcelo Bielsa's defending principles? He is highly influential with many defending principles we see in the modern game today with his man-orientated press and principles of winning the ball as close and high to the opposition goal with little regard for overall structure. Keep up the good work!
Hi George! I'm glad you found the video useful! It's quite an interesting approach (I'm working on a video about it!) I like it, but the lack of structure can have its flaws - if the press it beaten you can be in a lot of trouble. Whereas, the more traditional press maintains some structure behind the press so offers you more protection should the press be beaten. It's almost how much are you prepared to risk to win the ball really high?

@@AdnanSayyed21 It would be brilliant! Having not only a big squad, but a squad full of quality is going to be really important next season. We've seen the issues that occur when we've been required to use current squad players. If they do get them all over the line, then next season will be really fun!

I'm glad you found it useful Rafeh, the principles have been developed over time. These are what we commonly use in England, but different countries may have different ideas

Compactness
Deflect
Control and restraint
Delay
Cover
Balance

It’s more compactness is a trait of teams who park the bus
