I've been married to my husband for 28 years. I've never tried to change the fact that he's a motorhead. My house and yard and garage is mainly guy stuff. His current love is snowmobile asphalt racing. We talk about it together and I go to the races with him. He cares enough to do my stuff. I try to make an effort for him.
Flipping house's. Some they rent out some they sell. Live in them long enough to fix up on the cheap move on to another house. Very smart saves loads of money on labor and driving back and forth... but at the same time sucks moving that much.
There are now so many repair & restoration channels on TH-cam, but somehow this channel manages to be in a category of one. Digging light switches out of the garbage on a hunch that they contain an appropriately-sized spring to fix a small engine is peak content and I cannot get enough of it.
Restored ones tend to sit around for a few years, In my area I have seen the same few fully restored ones trying to sell for a couple of grand. Where a fixed up one runs and sells for 500 or less, most times all one needs to do is clean them up, replace the handlebar controls ( 15) , add new tires ( 150 ), brakes ( 10 to 300 * really depends on if you need to replace a lot, Most times just pads, handles and a few things. , Change fluid, new carb ( 30 ), Lights (20) top end repair ( 15 to 300 * 300 is everything, Most times just a gasket set is all you need, Dry rot from sitting a lot of years. Pretty much every one that I have ever picked up for free or for 100 or less has really only needed carb cleaned or replaced. They all ran for years with out many issues. If I would do it today rather than years ago, I could have bought new parts and fixed them up nicer and resold them for a huge profit. Yet the market is trashed today because you can go out and buy a fairly nice tao tao quad for 700 bucks and up, may not be a 250 yet they run pretty good.
You guys are the only ones that my wife and I watch your videos through our roku player in our livingroom. We both tremendously enjoy yalls spirit and banter. Like I've always said, y'alls channel is quality over quantity. Greetings from Oklahoma.
If nothing else minor fixing like that ridiculous smoking should be fixed if its just minor thing like crap between piston rings. If the 3 wheeler design is dangerous and crap, the engine might be well suited for something else. Essentially just make new 2 wheel front end, or put the engine into offroad cart. I would love to get that engine for such project for cheap, too bad shipping would be hella expensive :/

I've wrenched on hundreds of these style Honda motors. 15 minutes in and I can immediately tell the timing chain is off a tooth. Edit: So it was off 2 or 3 teeth. I'm amazed the piston didn't smash a valve.
Hey, quick question for ya. What would cause my 200s to run good at full throttle. Then at idle, it will run for a while then quit all of a sudden. I have to give it throttle to get it going again. But, it starts first pull when the engine is cold. What's my issue here?

I still have mine Honda Atc 200. Sadly i used it as a kid, and wheelied the heck out of it, and destroyed the plastic. I also drifted it alot and the tires are like slicks, and they are hard to get, cause they are rounded on the sides. I'll never sell it, and im thinking about restoring it. Honda is a fabulous manufacturer. I have 5 old Honda 3 wheelers and they are extremely reliable and fun to ride. Of you ride with a little bit of good judgement they are plenty safe. If you ride them full speed and make sudden turns you can find your self in a wrestling match with one.
My dad has a ATC 110 in excellent condition in his shed. Hasn’t ran for 30+ years and won’t start. After watching this gives me push to tackle project this weekend.
We had this same model three wheeler around the same vintage growing up we would ride around the camp roads and do our best to keep it upright. Man the sound of this thing firing up and running brings back some great memories. I can smell the burnt oil/rich fuel mixture/mud smell like it was yesterday.
Parts are really hard to find for these things it would be cheaper and easier to install a Chinese engine because they are carbon copies of the Japanese ones
@@calebproductions5970 these are not hard to get parts for. Many OEM parts are still available....plus reproduction plastics and seats. And even though this engine is 35 years old, it will still outlast a china rip off.

I grew up on three wheelers. First a 1983 ATC110 and later a 1984 ATC250R. Wish I still had that 250R! Great video - it brought back a lot of memories.

I have the same exact 1984 Honda 200s, and its been through everything, including submerging in a crick. But they never die, any Honda never dies.
I can say I have learned SO many tricks about diagnosing issues in my dirtbike from this channel, the jerry rigs have come in handy
