The Road trip Begins! 1972 Chevy Suburban 2,500 mile to go!

- Its time to start this road trip weather the truck is ready or not. But first, I have to finish installing the AEM wide band O2 sensor gauge in the cab so that we can monitor air fuel ratios and make changes to our 850 cfm Holley double pumper carburetor to make the truck run better and ultimately give us better fuel economy on our 2,500 mile journey. Do you recall what the cruising AFR was during this trip? I am trying to dial in my AFR in my 72 Blazer. I am not quite sure what the best AFR should be on the gauge while on cruising.
most people like between 12-13 for cruising I'm in the low 13:1 ratio while cruising and that's going to get you the best fuel economy. getting close to 14:1 is getting in the danger zone. sorry I missed your comment. I try to reply right away and I just fount this one.
@@DJsHotRodFab wow thanks. I have been running 14.7. Time to change the jets! One jet size should get me out of danger. Mine is a 350sbc though.
@@AbstractDreamz if you can get it down to high 13 you will be good I would go down 4 jet sizes to start
