2024 ADC Farrier School

The 2024 ADC Farrier School was a huge success. ADC staff and class 1A inmates from various ADC units learned how to trim, balance and fit the proper shoe to the equine hoof from local pros. They were also taught how to diagnose hoof problems and when to refer a horse to the vet. Once released, a number of inmates who have graduated from this school have gone on to have successful careers as farriers statewide.
