One of the best episodes, absolutely love em, just wondering what model air box you were running up on the roof on the mustard truck and Milo? Would like a similar set up on my old Land Rover Series 3 Ute, cheers!
It's a Donaldson, made in Newcastle NSW, and what almost every industrial motor in the bush uses. Different sizes available and no worries getting filters ever.
LandCruiser every time... No I repent.... Toyota everytime... Mr Rooth I have a 150 series Prado.. was thinking 3 inch lift and the new Maxxis razor mt tires... I don't have diff locks but for the blue mtns should be sufficient?
Haha - yes, because I'm the oldest. Shaun started as a journo in the early days and I brought Graham in after doing a trip with him in WA. Great blokes both of them.
Having seen the devastation and also the incredible recovery powers of Mother Nature over sixty years of travelling, man's toys are really puny in bush the scale of this. I agree, don;t cause damage if you can avoid it, but a bit of ploughing will see that track go bush in a season.
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY they wreck them bringing in ifs and caning the inline 6 for a common rail V8 there a city car now more like a land rover with each new model they bring out in my opinion
got a winch yeah but im gunna run the hill again and really f the track for the next guy , same as towing those campers thru there , no need for it ,, tracks fd now

You don't realise how quickly camera and drone technology has advanced until you watch a video like this from just a few short years ago.
Taresk Isloki too true. AmaZing. We had helicopters the year before!
Thanks Roothy!

Love it man. Thanks for posting these while we research and plan where to go once we ship our truck to Oz!!
Very cool - enjoy our country, and remember the number one rule over here is take out whatever you bring in. See you on the tracks.

Bellissimo canale, auto fantastica e percorsi favolosi. Ma... NON SI SPEZZANO GLI SPAGHETTI!!!
Gday Roothy, is there any chance of you ever returning to do a couple of feature videos with Shaun and Graham?
No ,roothy will punch them, they think he is bad 4 wd driver
That would be lovely
We get on fine when we're together but I think they're both flat out with their new thing - and I'm pretty busy in the shed...
Wow. Can't believe you didn't have steel valve stem. Off-road 101
Who's driving the 80? James Packer
Wait I just watched this yesterday on the channel
Same here watched it yesterday, it's now saying it was uploaded 5 hours ago !! I'm pretty sure I watched it more than 12 hours ago.
Why didn't you take the red Truck on this trip instead of Mustard?
Toyota land Cruiser 70 series 🇯🇵 heavy-duty ❤️❤️❤️
Adolf Adolfоvich definitely one of the few tough trucks left.
Rocket, you do a bigger wheel lift than my old motocross bike.
Whats the second track called?? I don't recognise it

when was this recorded?
Why don't Aussy winches have free spool?
The original water track is impassable. It parallels the track you were on. It was blocked in a couple of places when they built the logging road.
All I remember is one tough track after another!
yew
So when did shauno and Graham come into the show? Was roothy the original host of the show?
Haha - yes, because I'm the oldest. Shaun started as a journo in the early days and I brought Graham in after doing a trip with him in WA. Great blokes both of them.
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY thanks for the reply mate only new to 4wd action it's good to see were it all started
Whatever happened with roosystems?
Glenno eventually sold the company and owns Zeus Tuning now. Not sure how Roo is going these days.
Love it. Not sure what the go is with one minute we desperately need our tracks then the next let’s wheel spin to the top though mate?

@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY I appreciate the reply mate.
Toyota wouldn’t be how it is without u
Haha! The old Toyotas were weapons but in the last few years they've gone pretty soft - living off reputation I reckon.

Do you still have Mustard ?

Glenno was a bit slimmer then.
