Hanmer Springs looks amazing - fun for all ages. It does look like a nice tourist park. So much close by for the kids. Your bike trailer for the twins is awesome. Never seen anything like it.

It’s neat huh! We actually had to import it from America as we couldn’t find them in anywhere in NZ. It’s got a pretty skinny back tire so we are thinking of putting a fatter mountain bike tire on it 👌

Happy Anniversary to you both 👍 An awesome wee village with lots to do there. Never been to the water park, the water slide you did looks like fun, putting that on our future must dos. The forest is an awesome walk and do far there's been a new carving when we've gone through so always worth repeat visits 👍😀

Thanks Micheal! Yeh it’s nice that forest area aye, I would like to go back and do some more biking on those trails(without the kids haha)

We really loved this spot although a little more expensive had everything there. Even a car wash! 🤣

Ah I missed the car wash! Should have given the caravan a wash haha

Look like you had a great time in Hanmer. It a favourite of ours been taking the kids there for 25 plus years. Yes even as adults they still love it. The Top 10 park still on our list for taking the camper to - also looks impressive. Enjoy the Coast. Peter - Kakapo Kampers

Cheers Peter! Yeh it’s a nice spot aye, certainly a bit quieter in the second half of Jan than when we were there at New Years!

We'll be down there next month. Looks like a great town. Will have our bikes & look forward to a bit of cycling & enjoying that bush.
Your kids are growing up quick. Just thinking back to when your girls were babies. Thanks for the episode.

Haha yeh they are growing up fast huh! We did a walk in Greymouth that we had done a few years back with them so I tried to get the same shots of the girls for comparison in the video 😁

A great family destination but is there a family ticket for the pools? (Just curious.) It's an excellent meeting up place with friends and family with plenty of activities to keep everyone happy while the adults chat and fool around for hours😆. As you said it's hot in the summer so the day at the pools would have sapped everyone's energy. I love the walks and the smell of the forest.

Yup there is a family ticket, think it was for 2 adults and 4 kids. Can also get multi day passes so you can come and go but one day in the sun was enough haha

We were there end of April 2022 for 5 nights, loved it, the camp was amazing & we were aloud the dog there, think it was school holidays too. Would love to go back but living north of auckland it's a long trip.

    Happy anniversary for last Tuesday?
Should look at getting Harvey a Trail Gator tow bar, or a tow rope to help him along with those longer rides. You must be about to check out the Westcoast Wilderness trail, how exciting

Those tow bars look great, definitely think we will get one at some stage. We have a tow rope bungy thing which works pretty well but does tug a bit on the back of the bike

Hanmer springs was our main holiday destination as kids, I remember the complex having just the 3 hexagon thermal pools and a big fresh water pool. It's certainly changed and expanded significantly over the years.
The girls are at a great age to explore and enjoy the pools now.
Must be great having the bikes down here this time too

Yeh it’s been awesome having the bikes, we did a bit of biking in Greymouth and Charleston over the last few days too which has been great 😊

Sometimes with driers better off to split the load over multiple driers if available

    • @AdventuresWithRosy
      @AdventuresWithRosy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yeh great point! It dried in the end, rather expensive load haha

We need to officially change the name to Hamner or Ham-na. We went to the nzmca before n.y it was quite ush and there was a nice river there that the kids could float down. Ham-na was rammed too! So busy I couldn't be bothered 😕

Yeh some towns are like that in NZ aye, it’s like going up the coromandel in peak summer… can’t be bothered haha. Ham-na is great! 😂
