I liked this area more than probably any other. The landscape was unreal!

The buttermilks is one of those places that when it's cold, it feels like you can't possibly fall off certain crimps, with their pebbly grains locking your skin into the holds. But when it get's hot... it feels like every hold is an awful sloper crimp that's been lathered up with oil

It’s a shame I couldn’t get to climb in good conditions. I’m sure I’ll come back in the future👏

As far as I know it is not illegal, but it is in poor taste to use drones in national forest land. Maybe not as much in areas like the buttermilks (it is still annoying), but it is not ok to use them in back country areas like rock creek unless part of a search and rescue or recovery mission. I guarantee that everyone but you will hate the sound of a drone flying around while trying to enjoy the high mountains. I have actually found bits and pieces also known as TRASH, of downed drones high on alpine routes. They are lame and stupid for everyone’s experience but yours. I’m sure if I looked I could find tons of drone videos online in national forest tourism videos but at least in the climbing community we can do more to reduce the pollution they cause.
