My wife and I have had 4 transatlantic crossings and a Mediterranean cruise on this ship. We have enjoyed every minute on board. By far the best ship we have ever been on and the best service. We have sailed through storms on the Atlantic with ease. Looking forward to more. 😢
@@jamesstaples1765 we loved our crossing and would like to do more. I have been on Queen Victoria before, in Princess Grill that time, and that was wonderful too. We particularly enjoyed the jigsaw puzzle area on QM2, low down and by the window.
Oh Jamie, this was awesome! I know how much you ‘hate ship tours’ but I now need to convince my husband that this is a bucket list trip, Keep up the awesome content. xx
You rekindled my urge to do this trip found same trip as you but with 2 nights in the Hilton always wanted to do it going back to out on QE2 back on Concord,as Dad was a Cocktail Barman on the Original Queen Mary. Single Occupancy over £1000 extra Ouch. So thanks Jamie
Really enjoyed this video, thank you! My soon-to-be husband and I will be honeymooning on QM2 in 2025, from Southampton to New York ae wanted something really special, and I'm now extra excited about it! Its our very first cruise too, so looks like we made a good choice :)
An exquisite ship filmed with great love. Especially for someone who doesn’t like producing ship tours. You created an informative and delightful video. 🙏🫶
We cruised QM2 in June to the Fjords. It’s the best cruise ship so far.. so historical but also so relaxing. Your vlog brought back all the great memories on board. Thank you so much Jamie xx
I know you don't like making the ship tour videos, but this was fantastic! Again, a perfect blend of video and description. And THANK YOU for cutting the music while you narrate! There is nothing worse than trying to hear what people are saying, over the music. Not too mention, the music itself, had the perfect beat to push me through my treadmill!! 😆 I just love you to pieces! Thank you for all you do! ❤
Hi Jamie, great vlog on QM2 thank you. Can I ask you if you came across Campbell Simpson playing the piano in the Commadore Lounge or elsewhere. My sister and I were on Victoria once and he was great. We are considering the transatlantic voyage sometime and your videos are REALLY helpful. Bless you. Barbara❤
A very comprehensive tour of the ship ….we enjoyed a transatlantic voyage at Christmas 2016 and will be back on her in February for 14 nights , this was a great reminder … top work Jamie 👍👏
You are the man! What a great walk-through. What time of the day was this with the fitness center so empty? I’ve been in both Britannia and Princess Grill class and agree that the Grills lounge is not as nice as the other public rooms; the key benefit there is the Grills Afternoon Tea is a more relaxed and personal experience. One does the “Grills” for bigger cabins and much more dining choices (and more staff doting over you), not the other facilities. Bottom line: you have just created the gold standard of all QM2 walk-thru videos on TH-cam. Wait, no…the Platinum standard. Nope, straight to Diamond standard!
The conference rooms on deck 1 are used when you are not on a crossing as they serve as the security and check out/in areas for port stops. I was equally perplexed on my crossing but it became crystal clear on a trip to Norway.
Just a nerdy fyi G32 was the number given to the ship by the shipyard before she was christened - ships are numbered before they are named generally. Also the Commodores cufflinks are the spare propellor blades - the individual blades which when bolted to the propellor boss or hub make up the propellor itself. I think the QM2s propellors are six bladed. Unusually they are made of stainless steel rather than a bronze alloy.
Enjoyed your tours as always but for me I don’t think I would go transatlantic on this ship it just seemed to dark perhaps my 50 year old eyes 👀 are wrong but I think I would like to go transatlantic on a more modern ship a repositioning cruise 🚢 but the queen Anna is definitely a ship 🛳️ I would book thanks once again Jamie ❤
@@TravelBlogJamie you can’t like everything Jamie but I’m glad you enjoyed it and I wasn’t disagreeing with the video footage just don’t seem to be to my taste that’s my honest opinion ❤️
@@TravelBlogJamie If you go to Queens Room after dinner in Britannia deck 3 just go to the aft exit and straight to Queens Room. From deck 2, Britannia or Club, it's aft exit and stairs/lift up one deck. I wouldn't normally walk through restaurant while folk are eating but if you're dining there who cares what exit you use.
@@TravelBlogJamie yes very good video! When I was on the ship only a few people knew about the observation deck on deck 11. My cabin was right near it so that's how I found it. Kinda hidden by the card room!
The best walk around video I've seen! Perfect timing...boarding on Sunday!
Yay! Thank you 🙏

👍👍
Quite a quirky layout, I'm sure we'll enjoy getting lost on her next year 😅. Thanks for showing us around Jamie x
I definitely got lost lol 😂
It’s the lower deck 3 that confused me but fine once you know down to the gallery , through gallery and up to queens room
Great tour Jamie, very useful for us as we're booked to do this in 2026 😊

I wish they would properly clean and oil the teak decking. It is supposed to be golden brown with no dark spots.
Other than that i hope you enjoyed the video
