The Puzzle and Dragons monsters seem to fare a lot better with the use of the pig's animations applied to them in comparison to the Eggman's army found within the Sonic Dash event.
I don't know, but I think Eggmsn's army (as well as Sonic himself) all suffered from the uncanny valley due to how limited the animations was. At least the Dungeons and Dragons monsters were cartoony enough in appearance for them to get away with this exact same practice.

From that time when Rovio Entertainment was not going downhill. I used to play AB Epic in late 2014, and this was my best favorite AB game ever, even much better than many crappy rubbish heap junk AB games nowadays especially AB Legends and AB Casual. That even could be difficult to complete, but at least that was still the best
