you can really see how much her body changed since her junior years i think it's incredible that she was able to keep her 3lz-3lo combination even if it's not always fully rotated. the season after the olympics is difficult for everyone but for her even more so. her win in pyeongchang was controversial for many people and she was aware of it. she told reporters she wanted to prove she didn't win gold by accident so the disastrous free skate in milan must've weighed very heavy on her. she was also going through puberty and training wasn't going well and that showed in competition. she revealed in an interview that she wanted to withdraw from saitama until the very last minute so the fact that she managed to pull herself togther and deliver two clean skates is incredible and speaks to her mental strength. she is not perfect but she is a very talented young girl and i think we should all appreciate her a little more.

When we are talking about professional skaters, we have to see more of their technical skills ( correct edge, prerotation, height, speed, the width of the jump, safe landing and position). IT seems like people only think that if skater lands clear in our eye, it is perfect BUT IT IS NOT. Alina has FLUTZ issue, prerotation and her height and speed of jump are not extremely fast to be treated as a BEST SKATER. JUST because SOME skaters do the practice does not give her EXCUSE of her FLUTZ and wrong techniques as a PROFESSIONAL skater.

yes she prerotates her jumps but most ladies these days do. even mao (who is my favorite skater) prerotated her jumps and she also flutzed.
Yes but her cheating with prerotation makes her not the great skater. My favorite skater, Yuna Kim does not flutz nor prerotate like Mao or Alina.
