I swear these how-to channels are the foundations of TH-cam. Some of us just don't know how to do stuff and have no one to ask irl. Hope this guy is doing alright after years of posting guides.
If you don’t have an available stud detector, you can tap the wall with the very tip of your finger to produce a sound. The sound will go from deeper to shallower as you aproach the stud. When you are right above the stud, sound produced will practically mute.

And with this aid, I was able to install my own TV on the wall... GOOD INSTRUCTOR..
Because power wires are run through studs you will need to know where the electrical wires are as well. You could drill through the stud and into a wire.
