Thanks! Though it took me a while to understand the strumming pattern. Strumming for chorus at 3:45 (Cadd9) D D U (G) U-D D D-U (Am) D D U (Em) U-D D D-U Repeat 3 times before it changes at 4:10 (Cadd9) D U U-(G)-D U U-D D (Am) D U-D (Em) D U U-D
on the secons the 2nd finger on the 3rd thret... and the 3rd picking order goes this way: first finger 4th thret 4th string, second finger 5th thret 3rd string, and finally pinky finger or the one before itl(sorry idk the names of the fingers, just the numbers) 6th string 5th thret and the order is, first, second & pinky. last string(6th pressed by pinky) you must drop it immediately after picking it untill the 2nd threat.
i believe the correct strum pattern is this for the C@9 and Am it's DDUUDD and for the G and E it's DDUU i could be wrong but that's how i play it and it works
The tab only shows the chords used. It doesn't show the strumming. Tabs are in a strange format, in general. The strings are placed upside down in tablature. The numbers show the fret. And you just read from left to right. You have to sorta figure out the strumming/rhythm for it. Try to play it with the song. Hope this helps! Good luck
I like the way you did this. But can you please tell me the strumming part of the ending of the chorus? The part 2:21-2:27. I can't seem to figure that part out.... Take pity on this complete amatuer. Anyone please
okay the stumming goes this way: first finger 3rd string second thret, second finger 6th string same thret, the order of picking is 3rd string, 4th string, 6th string. After this the first finger in the same position, and the second finger on the 5th string. and pick 3rd string, then 4th, finally 5th and lift 5th finger to leave the string drop. next comment ill write the last one
hey, nice video, but I think that your bridge is wrong, I think the first time its C, D and Emin, and the second time its C, D and Amin, and the rest is right:) try it maybe you'll hear the difference?:)
Screw that I transfered it an play it in drop C :D cuz that's the main tuning i play it in. It's still awesome in any tuning tho (as it'll sound the same lol)
This might be a little late to answer, but on a bit of a slower video, I picked up the picking pattern. For the first chord, you want to pick the fourth string, then the third, then skip to the first. Second chord: fifth string, fourth string, and then skip to the second string. Third chord and you want to pick all three of the bottom strings from top to bottom. I hope this helped. :)
***** Anese Wilson .....saw this tutorial today itself and I am a beginner. Isn't the strumming pattern like this........ DD UU DD DU ..../. DUUD UUDDU DUDD he is using two strumming patterns. The first one goes for most part of the song, and the last one at the end of verse or bridge or whatever.
Thanks! Though it took me a while to understand the strumming pattern.
Strumming for chorus at 3:45
(Cadd9) D D U (G) U-D D D-U
(Am) D D U (Em) U-D D D-U
Repeat 3 times before it changes at 4:10
(Cadd9) D U U-(G)-D U U-D D
(Am) D U-D (Em) D U U-D

Tnx Bro.. :) i Got it..
I find it easiest to do D-D-DU /// DD. I kept going over it and to me its the only strum that seems right.
hey, nice video, but I think that your bridge is wrong, I think the first time its C, D and Emin, and the second time its C, D and Amin, and the rest is right:) try it maybe you'll hear the difference?:)
