Get you a can of WD-40 silicone, must be the silicone. You take the blue part off of the canopy spray all the black plastic bits with the WD-40 silicone, let it sit in the Sun for about an hour and then put the blue part back on, see if you don't love how that feels when you're opening and closing it.
