A same like moment happend with me but in a more embarrassing way possible so my parents are from orissa but me and my siblings born and raised in bihar so as usual we don't know much about odia culture but after my 10th i shifted to bhubaneswar for studies there I lived at a hostel and in class there were many oriya friends of mine so once me and my friend were walking on Street and they were saying like how they were not given milk nowadays in their hostel then I said " yaar tumlog ko doodh milta hai hostel me" after this they and some other women who were passing by gaze upon me like I asked for their kidneys Then I realised in oriya doodh means breast and kheera means milk
Actually Doodha( Pronounced Doo-Dhaw) means Milk in Odia but you know how people change it and use it like slang. Also it is Odisha not Orissa and Odia not Oriya
