For today’s video, we are giving you a full and complete tour of Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s Private Island in the Bahamas! Castaway Cay is a very popular destination for DCL guests and has so much to offer! On the island, you will find kid activity locations, teen spots, family beaches, snorkeling beaches and rentals, adult only areas, island BBQ lunch, bicycle rentals, merchandise shops, character meet & greets, and so much more! There is also a free tram that will transport you to all of these wonderful amenities! Because we traveled in December, there is an assortment of Very Merrytime holiday decorations on island! We hope this video gives you a good idea on what all is included and available on island, as well as give you some navigational advice on how to transverse the property.

Thank you for your detail video’s. Question??? How handicap friendly is the beaches? Did they have handicap mats that go thru the sand so people can ride their mobile scooters on it to get to the water and beach chairs? Will a tram carry handicap scooters at the ports?
Hi Tina! I did not see any of the mats that go through the sand. I did see beach wheelchairs that were available to use and I did see a ramp on the tram that was used for scooters. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🚢
Hello love the video but I have a question is there like a photo pass that you can purchase for pictures on the cruise ship as well as on the beach at castaway cay and if so, how do I purchase that my daughter and I are planning a first cruise sometime toward the end of next year 2024 and just trying to get some information on a photo pass like they have it Walt Disney World thank you
Hi! So glad you liked the tour! I don’t think they have a photo pass like they do in the park however they have photographers at multiple places on the ship, on the island, with characters, and etc. Basically how it works is that you’ll go to these photo opportunities and they’ll scan your key card and all the photos will be on your stateroom account and onboard you can go to the photo center and look through all your photos taken throughout the sailing and purchase the ones you want. Just curious how does the 5K work is it like an official thing and you have to like register/sign up or it's just something if you want to walk on your own you know how much you've walked. Great job as always 😁
Thanks Dawn!!! ❤️ I believe it’s both! I think you can walk/run it independently and you’ll know how long you’ve gone but I think they also do special races and events that you register for. We haven’t done it though so we aren’t completely sure. Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🤗

Hi - Can we bring our own floats? Do they have air ports for us to blow them up? How long did it take you to walk the entire island?
Hi Josephine! I don't think bringing your own floats would be a problem but we have not done that before so I don't know from personal experience. We have never noticed and air ports around the property. I would say it took about two hours to walk the entire island, but that was with stopping to film. Thanks for watching! 🤗❤️🛳

Great tour. We have been to Castaway Cay only once and it was beautiful. If you want to go snorkeling, you may bring your own gear; you don't have to rent. Everybody who is snorkeling must however wear a snorkeling vest. It is provided with the rental equipment. If you bring your own snorkeling gear and don't have a vest, they will provide one for you to use free of charge. Just ask at the rental location. The life guards will enforce this rule and make you get out of the water and get a vest. Safety first!
