I discovered Max Richter through my music class last semester and I am now utterly enamored with his art, his personality as a composer. My favorite of his compositions has to be Mercy. An incredibly haunting piece that reminds me of Philip Glass' Metamorphosis. The best thing to come out of my class was Max Richter! Bravo maestro.
I still don't understand how Max Richter isn't a household name with the likes of Beethoven and Mozart. He's been so prolific with his works finding their way into popular movies and TV shows. His work is undeniably beautiful and original (even his "recompositions" feel entirely original). One day..
