Delhi to Chakrata Roadtrip | Roving Family
This is our 1st road trip from Noida. We shifted from Patna to Noida in March 2022.
Chakrata is a quaint hill station in Uttarakhand at 2100 m above sea level. From Delhi the route is
Delhi Meerut Saharanpur Bypass Kalsia Vikasnagar Chakrata
Distance: Approx 330 Km
Toll: Rs.450
Mileage: 17 Kmpl [including drive on hills]
Diesel: Rs.2000
About us:
I am Ravi, a teacher by profession. I run a coaching institute in Patna for IIT-JEE and NEET and teach Physics. My wife Veena is a homemaker. We love traveling and have been doing road trips for the last 10 years.

Liked your trip a piece of advice from a senior traveller, passengers sitting in the back seat please ask them to wear seat belts specially when you are driving on highway. In India the law May not require that but seatbelts are for your protection...thanks

15.11 per ek yellow bridge aaya hai... There's an old bridge ( British time ) running on right side. One of the engineer worked on the bridge was father on our old bollywood bad guy Pran Saab.. Mr. Sikand

I had a road trip 10 days back from Prayagraj to Ramnagar Uttarakhand. Road from Shahjahanpur to Bareilly was very bad so we returned through Haldwani and Pilibhit and Lucknow.
Agra se haridwar kis route se jana sahi rahega? Via yamuna expressway or via NH19 as yamuna expressway is not directly connected with eastern peripheral expressway
Use yamuna expy, go to greater noida directly. From pari chowk take right and follow gmap to connect eastern peripheral expy.

Ab noida se bahut dur padega, 6 to 7 days lag jayega. Itna leave sirf DP, Holi ya chhath me milta hai.

Weather is very pleasant max. 18 to 20 degrees during day.

Kitne kilometer ka hill drive hai?? Road ki width kaisi jai?
Hardly 35 to 40 kms. Road national highway hai, wide hai like Nainital road. Buses chalti hai is road par.

Sir i want to ask a question that is there a rule of time bounding . If that particular time is over . We dont have to pay toll
Is there any rule like this?
If there is a queue of waiting vehicles of more than 100 meters, the vehicles will be allowed to pass without paying a toll.
We were not charged any toll on meerut expressway.

Don’t you feel difficulty in driving during night as you wear specs…… how you cope with the vehicle coming from the opposite side with upper on ?
1. I concentrate on the road mainly to the left side.
2. Specs are anti glare.
3. Have adusted my headlight and fog lights accordingly.
