Good puzzle! Great solve! I was stuck at the same spot you were until about 20 minutes in your video, although I had the 146 triple in box 2. If only I had seen within that the pointing 6's! You found them for me and that finished the puzzle. Thanks.
35:53. I was completely stuck for 20 minutes. Until I noticed that the 146 triple in box 2 had a pointing pair of 6s, placing the 6 in box 1. From that point the rest could be filled in.
Can someone help explain the triple 146 in box 2? How is it a triple? It looks to me like 1, 4, and 6 could go elsewhere in box… (Full disclosure, I struggle the most with triples!)
There are two kinds of triples and you're confusing them. There are naked triples and hidden triples. The triple in box 2 was a naked triple, meaning that those three cells were externally reduced to just three distinct values, and since they all have to be different values, all three of those values must be used in those three cells. A hidden triple is what you're thinking of, where three values can only appear in three cells within the box, and therefore can only be those three values.
Am I the only one who is pleased to see a long video from Rangsk knowing that I’ve got a more tricky puzzle to have a go at? 😂
You aren't alone😅
You're definitely not alone!
@@paulakeay4317 no u re not alone haha
27 minutes but at least I didn’t have to come back here for a hint, I finally got through one of these tough ones on my own!
That was tough. Needed to come back here for help today.
Same here! I got to a point and just couldn't see what to do next. I've been able to do most of them on my own.
@@debrawilden1971 same here. I had a nice little streak of independence.

Stalled at approx. 18m. That 146 in box 2 totally eluded me; so near and yet so far. The story of my Sudoko life...
Same here… 🙈
Oh my goodness! Didn't even see it!
Thank you! I couldn't see the pointing 6s in row 2. After that I was fine! Very helpful as always!
16:11 well as a relative newbie, I started 4 months ago, I'm shocked to see this time. Practice practice practice i guess paying off
15:10 For some reason this one flowed pretty easily for me. Usually takes me about 10 min longer than Rangsk!
23 mins today. Practice is paying off 😊
19:32 to solve. Took an almost fully marked grid to see the way through!
46.35, I also didnt respect the pointing 1s and didnt notice the 6s in box 2 for the longest time.
No wonder I was lost. I need to learn more of that geometry.
Got pointing 1s and 5s in b4 early. Also the 78 and 16 pairs. Still took me nearly 50 mins. Hard.
I also failed to notice the pointing 6 after the triple in box 2...It took ages :))
00:45:47
Ack! I got stuck where you were around the 17:00 mark. Have to look at it again.
Somehow I managed to do this one in 18:46!
Got the triple in box 5 early on, but missed other geometry- 31:25 for me today
Very hard
16:58. Much harder puzzle today.
31:58. This one was difficult. Had a hard time following the logic as there wasn't much of a flow to it.
Agree with you. No flow at all.

I think there was a 14, a 16 and a 46 in 3 boxes, so those 3 boxes had to contain 1,4 and 6.

@@Rangskperfect explanation, thank you! It’s kind of like a hidden quadruple, which then restricts those three boxes.
