      @@DomMini He was an amazing man who learned something new each day and retained hat right ill he passed away. He really instilled that in me like he did. He took a fail into a thing of confidence. Sure do miss him.

    When I lived on Panama City Beach in the 80s and 90s My buddy and I found a few Conch shell drills made by Seminole Indians. I didn't know exactly what they were but you could tell that they had been worked. I had found tons of Cherokee Artifacts in Ga so I had an idea that they were Native tools. So I took them to an Archeologist and he confirmed what they were. I kept them for years then gave the to my niece to donate to her college to get them to a museum or in the right hands. Not sure where the are now but at least they are not collecting dust on my shelf lol!.
    I love stuff like that pump drill!

    On doing a quick search, I believe the Native American Indians drilled Shells for decorative as well as Ceremonial purposes.

    any tips on getting the rythm of my pump drill? I can't seem to get it to wind up again...

    • @DomMini
      @DomMini  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a bit tricky, you kinda gotta start coming back up before it kinda bottoms out if that makes sense. The downward movement is fast and the upward is a bit slower. Once you get the feel for it, it flys! Let me know if that helps! Thanks for watching my friend, I appreciate it!

    Is that a pump drill? Or just a drill?
    Sir.. do you know what a pump is?

    • @DomMini
      @DomMini  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a pump drill. A pump drill is a simple hand-powered device to impart a rapid rotating motion to a rod. It can be used as a drill to make holes in various materials. And yes sir, I know what a pump is…
