They didn't have problem with the audio in the acapella Bad Boy performance. The fans requested for them to sing Bad Boy and Peekaboo but SM staff didn't get to prepare the track for it bc these songs weren't part of the set list they performed that day. 😂 They simply just granted the fans' requests and went acapella ❤
8:51 This was an Iconic performance where the crowd requested Bad Boy and Peekaboo songs but the college festival organizers didn't have the MR of those, so Red Velvet being the talented Vocal Queens they are, sang and danced it -- all A Capella for the crowd :)

You really need to get into their B-sides more. I've always maintained that if you've only heard their title tracks, you still know barely anything about the group.

SM Girl groups doesn't disappoint you when it comes to vocals. SES, SNSD, F(x), Redvelvet and Aespa really outshine other groups interms of vocals.
No offense, because I am a fan, but aespa has not shown us enough to be included with their seniors in this statement.

They've got a few really good performances where you can hear them vocally. I recommend their exceptional stage of Sappy at the 2019 SMTOWN Japan concert. Otherwise, you can also check out the live versions of Gee (special performance), Would U, Oh Boy (vlive performance) and Little Little (from their Redmare concert). They've also sang Peak-a-Boo for a radio show; still think it's the best version I've heard haha. More power sir Austin! Love your Red Velvet reactions as always!

Some of those English songs they do to train their English, their pronunciation and just in general singing in English, so even if they don't release songs they will train with some of those English songs between promotional cycles. So if they are asked to sing some English song they often choose what they trained. Ofc some of them also can do it without that, but I think why they sang that one song more often is probably they just also trained with that song and therefore were just more confident singing that one song ^^

There are great videos of radio performances from 2015 and 2016 (ICC, Dumb Dumb, OOTN). After that they kinda stopped singing on the radio for a little while, but I really love the live performance they did of Umpah Umpah at Cultwo. They dance to it, but their voices still come through really clearly. It's weird the video didn't include the clip of when they sang ICC at a KBS radio show and someone went into the studio with a camera during and you could hear them singing out into the room with minimal headphone leakage.

you have to check Lovelyz ! not a fan of them but a lot of people will agree with me about them singing a capella ! u have to search a videos from them ! u will be impressed ! I was watching an acapalla vid compilation and i was shocked of how good they are ! I remember "Beat it" (MJ) from them HOLY ! i think the diff with rv is how they connect their diff styles of voices and arrange their parts, u just have to check it haha of course when u have time ! no pressure !
About the low notes, im pretty sure is Seulgi, she has a GREAT Low tone (u have to check their song with Ellie Goulding "Close to me" to know about Seulgi's low note, cant remember another tho)

If you wanna check about Irene's vocal i think the best option are listening I&S mini album and listening to her songs like "A white night" (OST for her movie) and "The only (colaboration with DJ Raiden).

Please react to their concert performances from a channel called kpoptown. They sang songs like Day 1 and Aitai tai there and the vocals are very clear. I’m just not sure if it was a bit processed by SM or not because they did release a full video of the concert itself.
