Well I for one have always watched your content because it’s very honest and educational. One to one camera interact is imperative as the viewers need to get to know the person who’s sharing there lives with them, your a master of that. You give me that tip some months ago which I heeded and it worked. This Video was very enjoyable 👍
I reckon your balance of content is spot on Ian. I’ve been watching your channel roughly 12 months now and I really like your honesty. You have a fabulous family and the amount of content they get as well as the farming / animal husbandry is great. Personally I wouldn’t change anything, just more of the same please 👍🏼
100% keep the rambling videos coming! There’s thousands of people who put operating videos up the balance of operating and rambling is spot on! Keep them coming!
Hi Ian. Carry on making video's the same way your doing they're great, you were talking about the poo from your cow's just make a pit out of your newest wood chip and put all your muck in and though the winter the liquid will drain away leaving the solids which you can mix all together in the spring to put on your land.
I like to listen to the creator talk about what he is doing more than just looking at the equipment. For me the more you explain what you are doing the better I think it is. Thank you for sharing your videos and God bless.
I think where your channel strives for me is in your knowledge, for example some of my favourite videos of Tom’s are his old man chatting about drainage, grass what ever it may be. Some of my favourite videos of yours are you chatting about trees, things your passionate about. You may not get the views of the boys with the big shiny kit but we all appreciate your honesty and knowledge!
the thing that makes your channel interesting is your family and tree team, how different people help out and like or not like it. very few other channels show their family and the impact of the farm on the family
I can't remember the last time I didn't make it to the end of one of your videos and leave a 'Like'. It's the humour and giving context to the job in hand that makes the filming of the actual work meaningful.
Since you brought it up I have to say the channels I follow and the videos I enjoy the most are ones with a good balance of FaceTime and actions Zach’s channel and yours are my top 2 I watch for those reasons you both provide a wide variety of information and entertainment even if it’s the same jobs every video the conversation always changes so watching 20 videos of you mucking our the yard is always enjoyable because the conversation and updates are always changing
I fell for your videos since the first one. So I will come home from work and I look forward to seeing what Farmer p has done. All my friends in Alabama love you and your family. We watch no matter what the content.
Farmer P, I reckon that generally your videos have a good mix of content. Like hearing your views and thoughts, watching projects like the new barn build and generally following the ups and downs of your daily life. Like the use of the drone too, as it gives a different perspective. In fact yours is the only farming channel that I do follow for all those reasons. Keep up the good work 🤓
I agree with jellybelly. You have the mix just about right. It always good to hear the banter with your daughters and lister to your opinions and life experiences. Keep up the good work
I tend to watch farming videos to learn as I am looking at getting into farming and there's a wealth of information you can gain by watching and listening to the farmers that's actually doing the job keep up the excellent content farmer p.
@@FarmerP thanks bud had nothing but encouragement which is nice for a change lol there certainly is alot to get your head around and hopefully one day in the future I can give you an update.
Hi Ian, I think you got a good balance on your videos with the interaction with your audience and the machinery , do like the banter with your daughters especially Abbi 😂 . Thanks for your time and you all keep safe 👍
The balance of your videos Ian is spot on 👍 I like the way you explain what you do and why your doing it before you jump in a machine and do it ...if it’s not broken don’t fix it 👍like I said on a previous video ....if you uploaded paint drying I’d watch it , keep doing what your doing 👍
Good afternoon Farmer P. I firmly believe you should should not change and continue showing us the good and sometimes bad of farming along with your detailed and interesting explanations of many things both on and off camera. It is also very enjoyable to see some or all of your family on the occasions you can convince them, or sometimes sneakily, feature them in your videos, and also to catch up with your tree team from time to time.. I watch many farming videos from all over the world but have to admit yours is the only one I make every effort to watch as soon as a notification appears. Your sense of humour matches mine in very many ways so keep on doing just as you have been please. BTW, Your instagram posts are also on my must watch list. Best wishes to all.
I think you have a great balance in your videos. Not being in farming I like to hear what you have to do and how you do it, but I do love the interaction with your family and dont forget Biskit
Really enjoy your videos Ian don’t change anything you do I love it when you are out in the van as I try and recognise the roads you are travelling on,it reminds me of when I traveled all over Gloucestershire for GCC when I managed their grounds maintenance. I watch loads of farming channels and enjoy them all and yours is one of the best.
I think you have a good balance Ian. Personally I prefer the videos like this one where you're out doing something and talking at the same time, rather than sat at the table or desk etc. I also enjoy the more instructional videos where you explain your way of doing something, i.e. the fencing one from a year or so ago that I watched again the other day as I'm about to do a bit myself - helpful to a beginner!
I watch you and TP and you both are enjoyable to watch and most of all I enjoy you banter as I live in Gloucester your not far away and like to see different places where I’ve been , your doing good job we don’t appreciate our farms in this country hats off to British farms 👏👏👏👏👏👏 well done farmer P
As I work three shifts in a factory doing the same thing every day, It is nice to watch videos of the great outdoors. With a wife and four daughters in tow, there is going to be some good banter as well. Keep up the good work.
Its always interesting and entertaining to hear you. You have the ability to express what your thinking about as you solve issues or make plans or just do the mundane. Yes, watching the implements perform is great as most all have whirling pieces. It is also nice to see a proficient operator. So.....keep doing what you're doing. I feel it's a good diverse mix.
hi ian i think how you film the channel now is spot on abit of a mix of both. your channel has always been one of the better ones anyway. along with a few others i always watch.
In general I like the content you provide. It is very entertaining and I love your standards. It's a little insight into your life in South Gloucestershire and though I am a Yorkshire man living in Northern Ireland. I have visited Gloucestershire a few times and appreciate the place. Love the warmth and natural banter of your family. I think perhaps viewing figures might be reflecting the fact that people have returned to work plus perhaps watching more soaps and evening tv. I like your channel and as a former farm worker in the 70s love the variety of your working life which initially attracted me to farmer all those years ago and holds my interest so please keep up the content and don't change anything 🤙
for me the balance is just right, we get a look at the everyday life of a small family farm, much better a big commercial enterprise. keep up the great work bud
LOL. Side Flinging, Mud Flinging, Chit Wollopper................Ian, you would fit in well down here in Australia using expressions like that for the Turdinator! LOL Good Job!
Hi Ian, its all good having big shiny machines to watch and whilst that may peak someone's interrst for a while its very difficult to get invested in it. I'm not a farmer but have been around farming all my life so get to play with tractors etc most weekends, I'm not a tree surgeon but I cut firewood most weekends, I can and have invested in your channel as there is so much variety. The highs and lows and I think it gives people a chance to understand farming. Keep up the good work! Thanks, Paul
The way your doing your video content is brilliant Ian a mixture of everything I especially enjoy the skid steer work and the tractor work you do. cheers for everything you do
Love the channel your interaction with us is what makes it for me and makes it more interesting. You vary the content and keep us up to date with what is going on on the farm. Your humor always make me laugh also you are quite informative on the countryside keep it up.
For me it doesn't matter if you're infront or behind the camera, your content is varied and interesting and most importantly honest. We see things as they are, the yard ankle deep in slurry and water and your machinery is cared for but some of it has seen better days. You might fetch in a contractor to do the odd job but most of the time you get in there and do it yourself and you're not afraid of getting your hands dirty. The posers on here can keep their shiny new john deere, their polished boots and new wax cotton jackets, I'd rather see a working farm any day. Change nothing sir, you're doing great as you are.👍
Hi Ian, me personally I like to see both you talking and working I never miss any of your videos as I thoroughly enjoy them as I do with Nick's farm, Harry's farm, it's a farming life for me, one from Canada Nick can't think of his channel name at the moment sure you know who, I watch other farming channel's but can take or leave them, the way your doing your channel is great, I can't any reason to change. AWESOME
I agree with the others that have posted so far, I enjoy your current mix of content, no need to change anything to keep my interest. And while I'm here, I was so relieved for you when the TB test came back negative! I found I got very tense about the final check! Keep going as you are, Ian, you already have a winning formula.
Don’t change anything, never failed to enjoy one of your videos, Your opinions are always informative, amusing and to the point, never rubbish. Maybe downright funny sometimes but that’s what we love. Just keep the videos coming, you and your family and farm make my day, week, month and more!
who knew you could get thousands of people watch you shift shit around. You do great because you're like the rest of us, a regular guy, working your day, loving and teasing your girls and wife. the explanations of what you do and why are great. us non farmers have no idea what you do and why. I've seen spreaders before but never knew how they worked, or how the process is of feeding and keeping livestock. Its that stuff that keeps me coming back.
Thanks Jim. I want to use this platform to re connect folks with their food, from the other side of the supermarket shelf.... And have a bit of fun at the same time. 🙂👍
I enjoy all your content. I like your honesty and the daily workings of a farm you have a lovely relationship with your girls. But Biskit is the real star! I only watch you, Cole the Cornstar and Tom Pemberton. All very different farms with similar problems and lots of hard work! Just keep on doing what you do xxx
Three quite different channels there Janice, I also watch TP and Cole, the latter being rather a character who regularly talks through that great big cheesy grin..... but those sun glasses (ski goggles) 😄 And his brother needs a hair cut. 😅😄👍
I must admit I enjoy both sides of the coin so to speak I enjoy how you explain things to us city folk who have little or no idea about farm life and also enjoyed watching all vlog about lambing plus your family integration as well keep up with the good content
Hey P, firstly I appreciate the time and effort you put in to the vids, chit chat, banter and face to face is the best , I'm personally not a fan of music overlays but having said that I can always turn the volume down .Also I believe I'm not quite as busy as you and I've also never made or edited a video. To me channels I enjoy most are the ones that tell me whats going on (in the past present and future) and then show you those things happening, it makes one feel more apart of what I'm watching .In the case of your channel I am interested in the future of Farmer P and his family and the dogs , sheep , cows , ducks n chooks , farm and the tree guys. So to end my banter ,You keep making videos and I'll keep watching.
Farmer P keep doing what your doing like it just the way it is a little bit of everything, love it when you windup your beautiful ladies and they give it back sometimes more then they get makes me laugh, the tree team are very interesting,I don’t like heights ,not afraid of falling but that sudden stop at the ground worry’s me a bit.🥴
we would like to see a bit of both just balance it out a bit we love your videos keep them coming and would love to see more of the animals and the dogs and of your family
I personally dont like many farming channels but I have been watching you for a very long time first video was 4 years ago with the pigs , and you being in front of the camera and a mounted camera has been my favourite so short answer is keep it mixed . Keepnupnthe great videos
I enjoy watching your film love the banter you have with all the family I did some training at Bishop Burton college so I love all sorts off farming life am a member thank you keep safe
Keep doing what you are doing. Your channel is a good mix of work and talk. I don't farm but I enjoy watching you on your farm. I spent some time in GB. in the early seventies on a 26 ft. sail boat and I don't think that there are any finer people then the English. Don't change nothing.
You obviously met the right ones Dennis. 😄 There are one or two Englishmen I wouldn’t give the time of day to... But then I suspect the same goes for every nation. Glad to have you along with us sir. 🙂👍
Me personally I like the content when your talking to the camera but thats mainly because I've worked in arable for years and got bored of all the machinery stuff, I am now new to livestock keeping pedigree suffolks and find your channel helps me learn new things I didn't no. Me and father talk about your channel the most and he's a retired farmer and watches a lot of the farming channels on TH-cam. Keep up the hard work.
I subscribed to this channel because I wanted to watch the weekly/monthly goings on of a farmer and his family. The content you have going on right now is perfect in my opinion because you have it showing the physical workings of a farm combined with 'facetime' chats about what is going on that day or what has been going on or when your explaining about some farm machinery. The channel has huge variety in content available to you, with the tree team, your children (when they want to), your wife (when she wants to). The things you got going on now with the septic tank and the issues with draining the water from the yard and how to accomplice it . That is what I come here to see. For me personally, having more facetime will ruin the experience for me because that is not what I subscribed to the channel for. Well you did ask for subscribers opinions :)
I am happy with things the way they are, but thought I would ask the opinions of you guys 🙂👍 It appears most agree with me, it’s not broke, so I won’t try to fix it.🙂🙂👍
You have it about right, more interaction with the family possibly, I`ve learnt so much about farming through you, I`ll admit I subscribed to other channels but stopped & only subscribe to you now, your videos are informative, funny & eye opening, keep up the good work
I think, and it's a personal thing I know. It's a balance. I watch different farmers and enjoy them for different reasons. For example, you have a very laid back style, it's interesting to hear you tell us what you are thinking, the tree stuff, messing about with your family etc and you make me laugh! The other extreme I suppose would be Millennial farmer, shiny machines, massive arable farm, different country. Still entertaining but for different reasons. The point I am trying to make is it's farming I am fascinated by (as a non farmer) I want to see where my food comes from and have learned alot. I like listening to you but, I also realise scraping up poo is part of farming so if that stuff was left out would it be real? I don't know. I reckon you have it about right. Keep it up, love it!
Just keep going as you are the mix of talking and working is brilliant always look forward to your vlogs. I'm sure Holly sed she was going to be giving you a hand.
I like the road trips where I get to see a little of the country and you talking about what ever all gives me a persective of the going on, but you playing in poo is good to👍💪
My humble opinion is that I’ve spent enough years with my arse parked in shiny bits of machinery as not to need anyone else doing it. I do appreciate that people from a non-agricultural background will want to see how the whole process works and so your videos will have to be holistic, but I watch because I like to see how you and the family interact with each other around the farm, and I also enjoy your preachings and notifications 😀 More face time for me...
I love England but never Been there , You give a very personal , practical view . You gave us a history trip with bisquit , It was to that old monument , wonderful hike view and history .Good teaching . You have given me a appreciation for cattle . You like sheep we know, you kept #11 safe .and you have taught us a little about them . Please fill us in why you bought hartwig or is it herdwigs , those northern sheep from the lake district . I looked them up because of you .And sharing your family and all the Dogg's ,farts and all . But the drone footage of the country side wow . And I just watch you and your tree crew take down a big old tree I think in 2018 and you showed how and why it had to come down .what else can I say .keep up the work and knowledge . A big thanks to you and all . The cows like the sun , I would prefer to be in the sun too . In Utah . Also I like when you go in fast motion , it's comical..
Thank you Nancy, we are very lucky to live where we are, I regularly thank the maker for putting me here and giving me the chance to look after this little bit of England. We have a fair bit of local history about here which I will share with you folks as I get around to it. 🙂👍
Keep doing what you're doing. For me, it's the chat whilst working, talking about you're plans the history of the farm and family and the interaction with your family and employees. That's why I like the call mount as it allows you to get on and for us/me to see that you're doing at the same time. I like the mix of done and static camera too. I would like to see more of the tree side too as that's fascinating to me but I know you're not with the guys very much. You're right about other channels that talk bring the ones that grow so long as their chat is worthwhile. There's one fairly new channel with brothers on a cattle, potato and arable farm that chat but really don't say anything. Doesn't do it for me but they may get better.
With a set up like yours as a family run business its abit of both I would say. The farm for you is the main thing but seeing you interact with the family is brilliant. I had a car accident 2 1/2 years ago now and lost my job over it I'm a lorry driver by trade but worked on family farms as a youngster so that's why I enjoy watching your channel. If my back gets well enough that I can get in my bike again I would love to come visit you and see your set up for myself . Keep up the good work mate
I like the balance as it is, all the kit you have you use, it may not be new and shiney but it earns it's keep. This is a working farm unlike some which seem to be shop windows for new kit every week. You also do an excellent job of explaining what you are doing and why. Add the extras into the mix, both canine and human, on a regular basis and you have a winning formula. Did I just sit and watch someone mucking out a yard for 30 min. :-)
is always good to watch people work (hahaha) and I am particularly interested in the workings and day to day of a farm and other aspects of your business. So would be good to hear you talk about that as well as watching the work. More or less what you are doing really.
just keep it the way you are, its a good balance of both , been watching for about while, and i like the honesty, there is no "click bate" or drama, just good content,
Hi Ian , I think it depends on the type of viewers , many come from farms and want to see how you do things , and see what’s out there to improve on , you know so many choices with machinery and other farm related projects , farmers want to make informed choices when they purchase as its generally a large investment compared to the returns so youtube is a good place to start researching , they other side of the coin is non farming viewers who enjoy the outdoors and would enjoy watching how the other side live,,, striking a balance is the key , for me i would like to see less repetitive stuff , i do enjoy listening to you you have a good voice for that , biscuit is great everyone likes dogs , from what i see on your channel you are very honest and it is as it is,, no frills and honest portrayal of the majority of farms in UK and Ireland , i get sick of looking at the big farmers promoting the very expensive machinery which gets further from the reach of the average farmers , contractors and machinery dealers are pushing the price beyond ordinary farmers price range , i begin to wonder is this deliberate , anyway enjoy your videos best wishes for the future,, :-)
Well I for one have always watched your content because it’s very honest and educational. Hi! I think you should stick with the way you are doing it today. Been watching for 6-7 months and your doing a good job!
I like the videos the way they are. A bit of chat and a bit of equipment use
its a good mix of both but like the flicking through the farmers weekley and current topics and your views on them i find it educational

AWESOME
Thanks Ritchie. 🙂👍
I forgot I also watch ifarmwefarm, and your mate funky farmer who put me into your channel
Nice one Farmer P, love your little loader 😁
I personally prefer both I think u have a really good balance between yourself and machine footage
Speaking what`s on your mine and honesty in your thought`s ,I respect that in a person !
Folks who are honest and speak the truth sleep better William. 🙂👍
Bit of both works well for me. Good to see how you decide what to do and the options you chose.
I agree with the others that have posted so far, I enjoy your current mix of content, no need to change anything to keep my interest. And while I'm here, I was so relieved for you when the TB test came back negative! I found I got very tense about the final check! Keep going as you are, Ian, you already have a winning formula.
TB is a horrible thing to go through, like you said very tense and worrying for all farmers.
Don’t change anything, never failed to enjoy one of your videos, Your opinions are always informative, amusing and to the point, never rubbish. Maybe downright funny sometimes but that’s what we love. Just keep the videos coming, you and your family and farm make my day, week, month and more!
😄👍
Just keep doing what you are doing lan love all your content it doesn't matter if you're chucking muck or talking in to the camera
You videos are excellent
i think a bit of both tractor work and your vast knowledge
who knew you could get thousands of people watch you shift shit around.
Keep doing it as it is now, there's a nice mix of content
Hi Ian i agree you have the content about right the mix of family and farming is about right.
Family and farming are a great combination Martin. Both very close to the heart 💖 🙂👍
I've always enjoyed the sense of the daly life on the life-ness of our videos.
Hi, nice to see you. It's great to watch when Abby is on camera and helping.
I think you have a good mix in how you go about doing things.
Love your channel and honest too keep up the good work 👍🏻
we would like to see a bit of both just balance it out a bit we love your videos keep them coming and would love to see more of the animals and the dogs and of your family
I personally dont like many farming channels but I have been watching you for a very long time first video was 4 years ago with the pigs , and you being in front of the camera and a mounted camera has been my favourite so short answer is keep it mixed . Keepnupnthe great videos
🙂👍
For content prefect balance between talking and machinery work I like watching how other live and work
I enjoy watching your film love the banter you have with all the family I did some training at Bishop Burton college so I love all sorts off farming life am a member thank you keep safe
🙂👍
Keep doing what you are doing. Your channel is a good mix of work and talk. I don't farm but I enjoy watching you on your farm. I spent some time in GB. in the early seventies on a 26 ft. sail boat and I don't think that there are any finer people then the English. Don't change nothing.
You obviously met the right ones Dennis. 😄
There are one or two Englishmen I wouldn’t give the time of day to...
Thank you, and Say hello to you dad for me. 🙂👍
Great 👍 video mr p you are doing a good 😌 job keep safe from covid 👍👍😌😌🚜🚜🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧👩🌾👩🌾
I am happy with things the way they are, but thought I would ask the opinions of you guys 🙂👍 It appears most agree with me, it’s not broke, so I won’t try to fix it.🙂🙂👍
You have it about right, more interaction with the family possibly, I`ve learnt so much about farming through you, I`ll admit I subscribed to other channels but stopped & only subscribe to you now, your videos are informative, funny & eye opening, keep up the good work
My videos are kind of just, well us, this is how and what life here is like...... “Mad” 😄
Thank you Nick. 🙂👍
Just keep going as you are the mix of talking and working is brilliant always look forward to your vlogs.
I'm sure Holly sed she was going to be giving you a hand.
Holli has offered to help when she can, so you will probably see her a bit more in future uploads. 🙂👍
I think you have got the balance just right Farmer P
Stay how you are Ian there reason why I watch all your videos.
Thanks Steven.
Keep the channel the way it is
I like the road trips where I get to see a little of the country and you talking about what ever all gives me a persective of the going on, but you playing in poo is good to👍💪
Playing in poo, we livestock guys are good at that. 💩😄👍
Hi farmer p I love watching everything think you do on your video's it amazing want you do
It good for information on how and what has to be done on a farm from day to day, and how diverse you may have to be.
Farmers need need to be a jack of many trades Geoffrey.
My humble opinion is that I’ve spent enough years with my arse parked in shiny bits of machinery as not to need anyone else doing it.
I do appreciate that people from a non-agricultural background will want to see how the whole process works and so your videos will have to be holistic, but I watch because I like to see how you and the family interact with each other around the farm, and I also enjoy your preachings and notifications 😀
More face time for me...
Just for you sir.. 😄👍👍
Gosh I miss my bike, Sorry to hear about your accident and injury, fingers crossed for the future 🤞🏻
Why don't you get another bike Ian ?
@@andyellis307
I would love one Andy, but I suffer a ruptured C5 neck disc, vibration and looking over my left shoulder “ life saver” is an issue. 😕
Fair play if you did Ted 😄
Thing is I’m still doing it today, so prepare yourself for a bit more. 😄👍
is always good to watch people work (hahaha) and I am particularly interested in the workings and day to day of a farm and other aspects of your business. So would be good to hear you talk about that as well as watching the work. More or less what you are doing really.
just keep it the way you are, its a good balance of both , been watching for about while, and i like the honesty, there is no "click bate" or drama, just good content,
Click bait is a pet hate, some of it is truly awful
@@FarmerP yep, misleading the watcher, Ohhh drama here. ... Nope just a sheep in a rabbit hole..or the like ,
Hi Ian , I think it depends on the type of viewers , many come from farms and want to see how you do things , and see what’s out there to improve on , you know so many choices with machinery and other farm related projects , farmers want to make informed choices when they purchase as its generally a large investment compared to the returns so youtube is a good place to start researching , they other side of the coin is non farming viewers who enjoy the outdoors and would enjoy watching how the other side live,,, striking a balance is the key , for me i would like to see less repetitive stuff , i do enjoy listening to you you have a good voice for that , biscuit is great everyone likes dogs , from what i see on your channel you are very honest and it is as it is,, no frills and honest portrayal of the majority of farms in UK and Ireland , i get sick of looking at the big farmers promoting the very expensive machinery which gets further from the reach of the average farmers , contractors and machinery dealers are pushing the price beyond ordinary farmers price range , i begin to wonder is this deliberate , anyway enjoy your videos best wishes for the future,, :-)
